Is it because when I put the car in reverse the exhaust gasses go backwards too?

There's actually a built in electric motor which pushes your car backwards. Normal engines can't turn the opposite direction to turn the wheels backwards. Therefore, you need an electric turbo if you want to hear it. This will also give you 300 RWHP. That's Reverse-Wheel-Horsepower

Arent reverse and first gear the same thing, just that reverse makes the engine go backwards so you can drive backwards? I figured thats why I couldnt hear my turbo. Since the turbo only would work with gasses going one way, if the engine went backwards so that the exhaust gasses went backwards then the turbo wouldnt work.
Isnt that a good theory? Or am I off base a little bit here?

Do your exhaust gasses go backwards?

Do your exhaust gasses go backwards?

Yes, they would. They are actually vented through the cabin while in reverse. Try to hold your breath, because they can be deadly if reversing for very long.

My gasses only travel one direction.

Mine sometimes exit the front, but usually escape from the rear.
