I'm content spending time with my daughter and cats, and listening to various post rock bands, currently Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Because I am 47. Old people hanging out in bars are pathetic. If I want a drink I am going to mix one and go sit with the neighbors out in their backyard around their outdoor fire.

Still hungover from last night.

Worth it?

I never understood the concept of drinking so much that you're going to feel sick the next day. I used to know people who were hungover every Saturday.

Me neither, then again I never understood the point of parties either.

had a family dinner for my sister's birthday tonight. didn't leave my parents house till 11 pm... I thought about calling a friend with benefits because I know he's almost always home on Saturday nights and I'm a little horny/haven't had sex all week, but I'm really way too tired.

I got called into work at 3 am last night, worked until noon, and only managed to fall asleep for about 4 hours this afternoon.

Had a homework project deadline moved up a week (can you say bullshit?) so it's crunch time tonight, and tomorrow night. Also last night. And the night before that.

I don't understand hangovers. I used to drink a shit ton when I was younger and the only time I had a hangover was one morning when I drank a bunch of tequila the night before....only it wasn't a hangover I was still drunk. Always drink a bunch of water before you go to bed after you have been drinking people.

I get sick to my stomach if I overdrink, but never a headache. The one exception to that is scotch. I can drink that until I pass out, and wake up feeling great.

Sadly, would be working on my project if I didn't have to study for this exam. Building a wind turbine, currently 2 feet bigger than our planning report said it would be due to some miscommunication between team mates. I've been trying to figure out clever loop holes to get around that, or figure out what I can cut off using some very cool power tools.

Planning report, somewhat like a permit? Where will it be installed, and what is the diameter?

Ah ha, nothing so fancy or official, just a school engineering project. Been working on it for over a month. It's worth like 80% of our grade, and the prof was serious about being strict about the engineering design process so we need to submit a planning report with specifications, intended use, design features, what kind of power we needed, cost estimates, and the whole 9 years.

Our original specifications were that the entire assembly was to be less than 3x3 feet. However, the group responsible for the blade assembly, took that to mean the BLADES were to be 3x3 feet. So currently, we're a good 2 feet off of the specifications due to the fact that we need to shove in an entire generator and assorted electronics.

It's a simple vertical wind turbine. And currently the problem is, we are out of materials to use to create an alternate set of blades, and all that needs to be ordered online and machined. We simply don't have time for it, so we need to improvise.

Procrastinating. Took Friday off from work to work on a project worth 10% I have to do. It is now Saturday morning and I still haven't touched it, but I have conveniently created 2 new folders with all the necessary files to begin the project!

Not like I'd have much to do even if I weren't in school.

The only things that keep me from going out on a Friday night are looks, personality, and finances.
