Why arent any new Mustangs selling on ebay?

Been looking on ebay the past few weeks for a mustang (2005 probably) and have hardly see any at all sell. Just looking at these completed listings it shows like 95% of them don't meet the reserve price. That seems like a big %. Anyone know why? I can't figure it out. It's not like that will all cars on ebay is it? Are all the sellers just being too greedy with their reserve prices?

yeah, pricey... and ppl would sell them for the same price as local seller or dealer.
so why buy on ebay then

Cause I can just go into a dealer and get it for the sameprice or cheaper? Its not like they are hard to find or something.

For about a year and half there was a shortage of Mustang GT's. A lot of People who actually where on the "pre-order" list for the launch of 05 mustang had to actially wait so long that they had to get an 06 Mustang instead.

None of those bids match KBB value for an '05 Mustang.

I paid less for a brand new '06 GT than KBB is currently for an '05 with the same options and 10,000 miles.

RWD does suck. AWD is the best drivetrain bar none.

Yeah AWD is the best if you like 800lbs of dead weight and a 5mpg hit in gas mileage.
More like 300 lbs. and then only compared to a similiar FWD.

Keep in mind that a Mustang GT weighs roughly 200 lbs. more than an STi, has similar horsepower, is lightly slower in 0-60 and 1/4-mile times, and gets roughly the same gas mileage.

edit: and to answer the OP, Mustangs are still in high demand. The 05s are likely to end up as a collector year.

Just my personal opinion. My WRX always brings a smile to my face when I'm able to get out of a foot of snow with no problems, while a RWD vehicle is either stuck, or sliding all over the place.

Well yeah... and living in Oregon, I'm always happy when my WRX is able to leap out and immediately merge into heavy traffic on a rain-slicked road (where any 2WD would just sit and spin), or confidently do 80mph down the freeway in a torrential downpour. But if I lived in a warmer, drier clime, I would not own an AWD car.
