Was 18ish and my old computer I had was a POS at the time. This was back in 1997 or 1998. Friend told me to try and build one like he just built, a celeron 300 overclocked to 450. Said it was just as fast as the brand new pentium 2 450's that were like $2000+ and he spent like $300 on all parts to do it himself. I was a poor young airman at the time so the thought intrigued me since I was a comuter SOFTWARE geek (ie programmer) but really wasn't that much into hardware at the time. Just like everything else that is cool, once word gets out about it the idiots join in swelling the ranks and lowering the quality. ATOT is a prime example of that.
