Why are Ties so expensive?

Ties are stupid. One day at work a little kid asked me why I was wearing a scarf. Seriously, what is their point? Why couldnt ppl make some different casual dressing for men before a dress shirt and tie became mandatory.

Go to TJ Max or Ross or any Department Stores <when they have ties on sale> and you can get decent ties for about $10 <brand name silky ones>.

low end priced ties do not knot well and wear well bec. they aren't made properly materialwize.

the 50$ ties and above get in you there, and for the most part those are the ones i end up getting.

however, the 50$ ties and above generally aren't really 'worth' that much. There's huge profit margin in that and the makers are in no concern to lower the price points any time soon.
