Why are there no black cyclists?

I was watching the Tour de France, and I realized that there are only white and latin riders, but no black riders. Any particular reason? Are those reasons related also to the swimmers?.
I'm trying to be politically correct, and not offend any one, since I can't call them African american.

Maybe it's because of the rampant racism against minority athletes in Europe. It would suck to bike all that way while being abused the entire time.
 
Because there are no black people in Euro. Oh and those black French players you see in the World Cup? Whitemen w/ black face paint.

The poor folks don't consider cycling, skiing, etc. to be sports that a brutha should participate in, and many times cannot afford the equipment.

The rich folks don't need to be cycling for a living, so they don't. Then the really rich ones are playing polo, I guess.
