Why are there no anti-seatbelt groups?

There is a group for almost everyone.

For or against whatever. But there are not groups trying to strike down the evasive seatbelt laws.

I don't know anyone who wears a seatbelt.

I was never required as a kid. I never wear them now as an adult. And it's my choice.

Where are the anti-seatbelt crusaders? Who will protect us from our protectors?

BTW, you are right, it is a choice for you not to wear a seatbelt, however, there are laws in most places that force you to wear em.
So you have your choice, wear a piece of saftey equipment that you probably should be wearing anyways, or get fined for not wearing it.

You can't smoke in hospitals.
You can't drink in public, DUI.
You can't have sex in public.

Even though you can only hurt yourself by driving with no seatbeat; those other items are not entirely legal either.

You shouldn't wear it because you're only giving into what the government wants.

Yeah. Like we should be able to drink and drive. Or drive at whatever speed we like, or let a 3 yo kid drive.

You should, of course, be free not to wear one if you don't want to, but what about others who might actually believe you? What if a child heard what you said, didn't wear a seatbelt, and went through the front window of a car - how would you feel?
