I'm from Kansas. Nice sharp wit you have there, being offensive and all. You must be... hmm..m.. can't capitolize, or use apostraphies, and resorting to "Oh yeah?!" kind of tactics. Thirteen years old?

People who hate you, +1!

LOL You're trying to insult someone about his grammar and you can't spell worth sh!t?

When you come here it will probably be apparent but even if its not that doesn't really matter, for most people that live here it is and we take pride in it.

The people are generally friendlier. Plus our women are hotter too 😛

I never really liked Texas - and half of my family lives there! Texans can't drive worth SH!T, and this "pride" comes across too often an being cocky.

Too bad your occupation would be limited to the two weeks in summer where it's above 30 degrees, and then you'd just cry for That Thar Heetin' Elly-Ment and run away. 😀

I must say as to what I have seen of Texas, it is the garden spot of the world, the best land and the best prospects for health I ever saw, and I do believe it is a fortune to any man to come here. -Davy Crockett

Texas has a little extra early histroy that helps encourage certain cultural beliefs.

Not just the Alamo, but also Goliad, San Jacinto, and the whole settlement to independent nation stuff.

I live in Corpus Christi, I can't say that i've ever heard someone describe it smelling like poo. It certainly isnt a hot spot in Texas thats for sure though. The people that run this city are absolute idiots with such deep-seated corruption that its impossible to do anything.

At the risk of sounding racist I will say that the Hispanic population is certainly changing things in Texas, at least in my neck of the woods, and I wouldn't say its for the better.

Because Shiner is only sold in Texas. Duh.

That's not true. It goes as far north as Missouri.
No, I regularly get Blonde and Bock at the corner store across from my apartment.

Ok, I just took another look at the map, and I guess since Nebraska is farther north than Missouri, Nebraska would be it. But the closest I can get it is in Missouri. (All according to the Shiner site).

Corpus was 95% hispanic 10 years ago. So yes. Things are changing. Anything south of Austin, is mainly hispanic. Anything north of Austin is mainly white. Blacks are scattered about, mainly in DFW, Houston, and East Texas. Asians have typically settled on the coast, but they are tending to migrate towards Austin and Dallas now.

Hispanics will outnumber whites by 2015. Some places in Texas have dual language road signs now.

It's innate to feel pride for living in Texas. You have to be one to understand.

yup, exactly.

and we don't hump sheep like people that live in topeka, kansas.

You get it on with steers, instead. Everythings gotta be bigger in Texas, right?

Only egos and mouths. Brains are smaller.

Yup, this Dual language thing is crap. If you come to this country you need to learn the language, at least thats my opinion.

My sister went to go get one of her tires replaced & when she got to the shop they couldn't help her because the only 2 guys their spoke Spanish and only Spanish.

That's crazy. You'd think they'd know where there beer was going, because you can get it at lots of stores in NYC and at several bars I've been to as well! But it's not listed as being available here. Weird.
