I got my wife an A80 for Christmas, and yes, this thing ROCKS! I LOVE IT! I don't have a problem with the AA batteries at all. Yeah you need four, but I got 8 rechargable Monster 2100mAh batteries and four of these things last a LONG time! I agree ... the colors are too saturated. I wonder how much it suffers from clipping.
But still, not too shaby for a $290 camera.

I'd rather have more saturation than less. You can always decrease saturation without any ill effects; the same is not so for increasing saturation.
In the film world Kodak is known for their high saturation film, it's no surprise they follow suit in digi. Looks nice...
