Yeah what cowards. They didn't blow up the entire world economy to get their way. GOP is fucked because of people like you.I mean they bend over at the first sign of trouble trying to please those who would never vote for them at the expense of those who do. Case in point the cave in of the government shutdown(AGAIN it happened in the Clinton era with the same result).
They veiwed the shutdown as a threat to their electability. Nothing is more sacred to them than electability. They want "swing voters" above all else.I mean they bend over at the first sign of trouble trying to please those who would never vote for them at the expense of those who do. Case in point the cave in of the government shutdown(AGAIN it happened in the Clinton era with the same result).
Forget the Republican party. They're just a wing of the Democrat party. The TEA Party elected candidates will have a second chance coming up real quick. Should be pretty entertaining.I mean they bend over at the first sign of trouble trying to please those who would never vote for them at the expense of those who do. Case in point the cave in of the government shutdown(AGAIN it happened in the Clinton era with the same result).
You have Republicans and then you have politicians.
Please keep the two separated
I would vote third party if I actually thought it had a chance of winning untill then I am stuck with the cowardly repubs
Look at it from a different perspective. First understand that Republicans and Democrats are politicians that are firmly entrenched in a system that is of their design. They are two sides of the same coin. Voting for one or the other nets the same results. The same results. That's what you need to remember.I would vote third party if I actually thought it had a chance of winning untill then I am stuck with the cowardly repubs
The "lesser of two evils" argument is exactly why Republicans are free to ignore their base. They expect you to vote for them no matter what they do.
Bush was enough of a crime against our values to get me to switch. What will it take for you?
If the Democrats were not always "let's tax you more so we can go buy other people's votes with these aid programs" I'd be much more inclined to vote for them.
I pay for their wins and get labelled as racist if I ever not agree with how they choose to spend my money.
The "lesser of two evils" is also why the Democrats don't have to pay attention to their base either. So what do you do?
I love this schtick. The two parties that can't agree on 95% of all issues are just two sides of the same coin. Once translated by the bullshit remover you end up with "The policies I believe in are an utter failure but I refuse to believe that the opposite policies will be a success."Look at it from a different perspective. If you vote for a third party candidate and they lose, you end up with the same result. If you vote for a third party candidate and they win, then there is hope for a change in the status quo. You can't lose in this game. But you just may win.
Republicans dominated the system from 1980 to 2006/8. People aren't buying the shit they've been shoveling anymore. The problem with politics and our two party system is ourselves.
All anyone needs is 51% of the vote to win. And the way that we the average citizens are most motivated is, it is much easier to win a vote not by appealing to the masses, but by convincing 51% of the population that the other 49% of the population is against you. Republicans do it. Democrats do it. Democrats are better at this game than Republicans.

Well said, sir.The two parties work surprisingly well together on issues that don't divide the citizens into competing factions. How do you think the NSA gets away with all the spying they do?
You are living the political hackery. I'm at least making an attempt to remove myself from it all. You just conveniently translate it into "your beliefs suck, that's why you don't want to fight."
There is a group of people who believe Democrats and Democratic voters are against them with bullshit policies and greedy attitudes, and will only ever vote Republican.

Have fun drinking your kool-aid.
That is an excellent point!! We could have a whole thread on just that subject!!You have Republicans and then you have politicians.
Please keep the two separated

But who is going to listen to him now??I voted 3rd party last time, Gary Johnson. Better then voting for someone who will not listen.
