I think you guys are all missing the biggest point of all. I can only assume non of you have read or know anything about spiderman. I don't care if you think Dunst is semi-hot, there isn't a person on this planet that should agree on her being cast as Mary Jane. She is supposed to be like the hottest chick in all comic books. Your supposed to trip over your drool when you see her. Dunst is below average IMO

This I can definitely agree with. Celebrities are not even close to being the most attractive people in our society. Professional daily makeup in addition to the hive mentality is the only thing that makes people think they are. For most celebrities, if you never heard of them and they walked past you wearing normal clothes, you wouldn't even spare them a second glance.

Of course no body will argue that. But if I asked 1000, even 10000 men who was hotter I guarentee that 90% will pick Alba over Dunst.
I wasn't arguing that Dunst wasn't hot at all, I said she was cute and she was pretty hot. People will say the same about Alba too and I'd understand - but if there pontifex is just representing himself as a complete tool for saying that she is a butter face. He makes it seem like she isn't the least bit attractive nor could he see why someone could ever find her the least bit attractive. I bet Pontifex is dating a butter face

Well, to be honest I find Dunst more attractive and sexy.
But that's MY opinion. It doesn't make your opinion invalid. Hell, if we were out drinking and met both there would be no argument who'd bang who and we'd all be happy.
See how that works? Who CARES who finds who attractive? All that means is you have a better chance with who YOU find attractive.

Did you miss my point entirely again? Of course one person will find one attactive moreso then the other, but are you also saying that you think Alba COMPLETELY and UTTERLY ugly and that you would give your friends a hard time if they said they found the girl attractive and wanted her.
That is basically what Pontifex is making his stance on. That Alba is down right ugly and he would probably laugh at his friend that wanted her. By saying she is a butter face, he is saying she is down right UGLY. Beauty is subjective to a certain extent, but only on ATOT will you find complete losers that would go so far as to call Alba UGLY.
Beauty is not completely subjective.... not within the same society anyway.
If you show guys a lineup of women, the same girls would conistently find themselves near the top, and others near the bottom. It's clear that there are some traits that either evolution or society has trained us to see as attractive.
So I wouldn't consider it asinine to wonder why someone's opinion strays so far from the norm.
