they score higher than Ferraris on slalom tests.
they DONT have the most powerful engine, but who needs to go 200mph? it weighs almost nothing and corners better than anything else.

i remember a quote about the original Minis and how they did racing. something like "you can always tell if a Mini will win the race by how far away the finish line is from the last corner"
they dusted all the other cars through the corners, but didn't have the raw speed.

I've always liked the cars myself. I wouldn't mind driving one. It'd be a lot better than my Ford Probe:)

Those things are freaking ugly, and impractical. Hell, I couldn't even fit me and my g/f's luggage in that thing on the way to the airport.

If it's just you and your girlfriend, fold down the rear seats. Geez, some people don't use their brain!! :)

And they look awesome.

no, his girlfriend packs a lot

You can get a tricked out, option laded Mini for 20-25K. Not bad frankly, if I was going to get something non-saturn I would have to go with a Mini. Although the wait time can really suck, not sure I want to wait a long time for a car.

That would be crazy! I can drive a Mustang GT off the lot for $22,000, I would have a real car, with a V-8!

Yeah and as an added bonus, you can be like all the high school girls!

I prefer RWD to FWD but I would take the Mini over a Mustang because 1) It has character, and is unique 2) It is supposed to be FWD anyway since it's a Mini.

Ooh, then you can look like every other teenage richbitch chick on the road. Wunderbar.
Plus, the GT is a fuggin' waste. I beat one to death off the line in my Toyota Tundra. When I test drove a GT a few years back, I floored it, and despite all the tremendous noise it made, it really didn't go that fast.
Plus the handling's only "good" not "WTF GLUE TIRES" like the Mini.

My guess is that because of the fact that there are more and more openingly gay people and more women around, there are more and more Mini-Cooper's being sold.

And that's exactly why, when I purchase a car, I don't think about being hit by the same model- I think about being hit by a truck.

With a small , fast handling car you can avoid the truck in first place

Minis are much safer than SUVs even in crashs. Look at the data. Yes, they crumple like a tin can, but they are designed to.
