Yup, it's an old email addy from my alma mater. I graduated in 2001 btw.

regardless, you were once affliated with the school. so chances are they have some record of where you live now unless you've completely cut ties. but since you still have the email address you might still donate or whatever. if someone really wanted to find you they have a last name, a first initial and a starting point.

you should really change that or hide it before your identity gets jacked.

Def a great year for New England, even though I'm a Bosox/Eagles fan (although Iggles had a great run too!). G/f got me the authentic Schilling jersey, can't wait till it gets warm to wear it! Also ironic that my dad got me an "86 the Curse" shirt for bday last September.

Don't really care about the old email, it just gets fwded to my craptastic hotmail account and half the time I never get it anyway. I have pretty much cut ties w/ alma mater, aside from the 15 or so friends/prof's I still correspond with out there. If you wanted to do an extensive search for info, you might be able to find it. But I'm sure as hell not going to post it, along with all my g/f's personal info + pics to millions of people in a public forum.

Yeah, NJIT isn't bad, not as renowned as Slutgers or TCNJ because it's a new institution. I grew up in South NJ, North is a fricking dump. Driving to NYC on the NJTrnpke, my contacts/vision would get worse just from rolling the windows down, the air was so filthy! Would have to pop in some eye drops... They estimate it's the equiv of smoking a cigarette/day, regarding the air quality of NYC. Probably not that bad for you (unless you're asthmatic), but gives you an idea of how bad the pollution is.

Also, coming over the Schuykill river to Philly, it smells like someone took a dump in your air vent.

It's called unlisted phone numbers. Not everyone opts to have his/her number on the White Pages, so your point is moot. The internet is a medium of such nature because you do not know who sees what you publish; therefore, it is always advisable to give information out discreetly. You don't know how many people are lurking on AT right now, for example.

Again, I don't see anything wrong with you choosing to live your life like you do if it soothes you. It's your life. The issue is your behavior more than even your point.

Yeah, that's the problem with the whole name-calling and feistiness that you started. It takes away the main points people have made or are attempting to make. There were different points made here by different people. I happen not to agree with Sp33demon's contention in this case. Yes, people can obtain information about you, but--in this case--it was irrelevant since you were aware of the fact that the information existed on there; and you had already published it on the newspaper. However, there's another point being made, which although isn't applicable to your case is generally helpful: It is not always wise to just give out information with the I-don't-care attitude. Other members already made the different arguments for why it is not a wise idea to do so. You were applying your situation to every single case of deciding whether or not to share your personal information.

P.S. You can hold grudges if you want, but I don't do that. It would be expending energy on a negative thing that adds nothing productive to my life.
