But seriously - lots of factors contribute to us men being attracted to women and vice versa. Obviously a certain portion of that is due to the process of evolution by natural selection - but society and the media affect people in
MANY ways although to varying degrees for different people. I don't have links to back up my statements, so you'll have to take them with as much of a grain of salt as you see fit.
If you think about it, though, it does make sense. We are brought up in a society where men are attracted to women. We see it in the media every day. (hetero) Sexual innuendo is quite rampant in the media, I'm sure most people would agree. Considering how much time the media occupies most peoples' attention - I'd say it's pretty much impossible to NOT be at the very least indirectly affected by this - wouldn't you agree?
A proper, thorough scientific study would have to be conducted to determine the answers to the questions asked here. It's always nice to back up what you're saying with empirical evidence.
