You are absolutly right there was a study done to see if there were differences betwwen gay mens brains and straight mens brains. The study was flawed however in that he had a total of 15 bodies and although he wrote he had conclusive evidence many question the results. The "gay brain" study found that like 70% of gay men had a smaller part of the brain. He also found that 40% of his straight subject had the same issue. SO the researcher decided that they were "closet gays" However with a study group as small as he had there really wasn't any PROOF. He set out to prove something rather than discover if he was right. Seince with an ajenda😉

Men are attracted to women because of mature. The women we are atracted to has more to do with culture.
 
Cause if we werent attracted to females, we wouldnt be around.

Nice Body/Pretty Face = Healthy partner = Strong Babies.

Meh, the question is...how can you not be attracted to females? They're yummy! Soft, smooth, curvey, they smell good, and they have parts which are mysteriously squishy yet firm.

 
the attraction is due to genes, you don't want to just reproduce any kind of baby, you seek the best features (genes) and therefor chance of survival, and you judge those genes through the body. You actually do an involuntary health check when you check someone out, you are looking for signs of disease, weakness, etc. A beautiful body means health and the aiblity to bear healthy children. of course, human society sometimes exagerattes and deforms what is healthy, but that's another discussion.

although true beauty lies within... mothernature didn't intend for us to "see" this....

reproduction is the main factor, and the reason we dont like them when we are 5 is we dont have the ability to reproduce at that age, when the hormones start flowin and changes start happening is when we start to become attracted to the ladies. Another part of that is why we like the pretty ones. There is also a biological factor that makes you attracted to someone who would produce offspring that would be healthy and more likely to survive. With civilization comes more factors, such as availablity of mates, some people settle for someone that is not the ideal attractiveness, becuase they think that is thei rbest possibility to mate. Also comes money which becomes a factor because it helps your offspring survive. Society plays a part too, but that had to come from somewhere and I believe it cam from human nature

LMAO! For some reason that cracked me up .... yet it's the best reply in the thread. I agree 100%. Soft, smooth, curvey... mmmm, smell good... etc 😉

But seriously - lots of factors contribute to us men being attracted to women and vice versa. Obviously a certain portion of that is due to the process of evolution by natural selection - but society and the media affect people in MANY ways although to varying degrees for different people. I don't have links to back up my statements, so you'll have to take them with as much of a grain of salt as you see fit.

If you think about it, though, it does make sense. We are brought up in a society where men are attracted to women. We see it in the media every day. (hetero) Sexual innuendo is quite rampant in the media, I'm sure most people would agree. Considering how much time the media occupies most peoples' attention - I'd say it's pretty much impossible to NOT be at the very least indirectly affected by this - wouldn't you agree?

A proper, thorough scientific study would have to be conducted to determine the answers to the questions asked here. It's always nice to back up what you're saying with empirical evidence.
 
The brain is wired different in men and women, and because of the X/Y chromosomes we have different hormonal dispositions. Why do guys like girls? Because the extremely complex organic chemistry in our brains and bodies. We're literally programmed to like girls.

That's why some guys like guys, because their programming is malfunctioning. Their is a gland in the brain that is several times smaller in gays than in straight men... they're missing that chemical predisposition.
 
I believe it's because we place value on looks, and you want to make sure that your offspring has good looks. You also want to make sure your offspring is a nice person, so you want to find a nice woman. The foreplay part probably come from anticipation. Anticipating having something for awhile makes having it all that much more special.

But it is negotiable.
The last 400 years or so we've been exploring the concept that man is not a prisoner of instinct and has free will. The jury is still out.
