You have it backwards. Capitalism is all about obtaining natural equilibrium. It is socialism that has proved to be unsustainably self-destructive.

I laugh at the suggestion that socialism is about fighting tyranny and despotism. The entire purpose of socialism is top-down rule by the elite. No different from the divine-right-of-kings of the middle ages, or the senate of Rome. Socialism is the modern era's excuse for dictatorial rule.
