Most people with nice cars don't have them all chromed out, it's usually mexicans with ratty oil burning V6 Mustangs and such with chrome fender arches, chrome window visors, chrome bumper letters, chrome grills, chrome tails, chrome spinners, chrome B pillar and window trim, etc.

Likewise with Chysler 300s, it's always ghetto folks with the base V6 model trying to make it look like a Bentley, I've yet to see a SRT8 ghetto'ed out.

Of course money doesn't buy brains or taste, so occasionally you'll see a SRT8 or G35, or BMW/Mercedes type car all ghetto'ed out.

uh oh, don't be like Top Gear and piss of Mexicans.... lol but it's truth.

Uh you missed My point (what a truck like that is really for)... Nice torque though... (my current flash is only on level 2 can add another 100ftlbs and 60+ more HP but that with a single programer you can stack them :) or just use EFILive)

Yeah you cheat with detonation proof fuel ;)

Nothing against diesels or trucks, I was just saying, this guy was one of those aforementioned "I'm too cool for myself" tools who buy it for the status and not for what it can do.

Had a guy where I worked at one time has $3K in rims and tires and $2K in stereo but had duct tape on the seat...? Oh and the fake triple chrome holes on the fenders...:hmm:

Sorry back on track...

Like hell...! It detonates just to run...:p

Just to honest I dont care for those fools either I only bought my truck originaly for the travel trailer as my old 1/2 ton just would`nt do the job, but for a truck its alot of fun and very comfortable... If I could I would like to trade it for a clean 2002 Z28 and a 3/4 ton gasser (so I could still pull the trailer here and there)...

You guys call pickup trucks "trucks"...?

What do you call these:

I quite like chrome on classic cars from the 50s, 60s and early 70s, but on more modern cars it tends to look cheap and a bit old fashioned.

I think it's because older cars were hand made from solid heavy duty materials, but modern ones are all plastic and mass produced.

Also wondering: What's with all the Pickup trucks.... I don't get it. I saw a lot of them but none carrying anything.

Beats me. I have no need for them personally and they get horrible mileage.

This should be fucking illegal to operate on public roads but I see this kind of ridiculous small penis mobile all the time.

" I can't afford it, so I'm going to mock it" pretty much sums up every post in this thread.

I have more chrome invested on my Harley than most people have in their savings account. The only reason you will put me down is because you are jealous !!!

I've driven cars ever since getting my license and never had much desire for a truck. After driving a U-haul 1500 miles though, I can see why people buy them even if they never haul anything. Being able to drive from a higher position than most people on the road is nice. I felt much safer driving something big and tall than I did driving the numerous econo boxes I've owned.

Granted a normal pickup isn't as big as a 26' U-Haul, but the principal is the same.
