the guy who worked on the special effects for Logan's Run.

EDIT: I also rented a room in a house owned by one of the producers for American History X. In fact he uses a computer I built for him.

Bruce Hornsby. I'm not sure how famous he is or if any of you have ever heard of him before, but my uncle plays with his band.

Several state-level politicians
A handful of sports personalities, mostly cricket
A couple of music entertainers

They are all famous in India, but probably not internationally (even if so, I am pretty sure it wouldn't always be for the right reasons :p ). My parents had quite a few political connections back when we were growing up. None of these people would recognize me (probably the DGP would) unless I told them who my parents were.

Where's my cookie?

Your parents must have money, where do you live?

Probably D'wayne Bates. He owns a condo in my building and I used to see him frequently when he was with the Bears. Now he's a teacher and football coach at my local high school. I never called him on the phone though :p.

I loved watching him at NU and hoped he'd do well in the pros, but then again I hoped Fitzgerald would do well too but he struggled as well (altho now he's coaching the team which is .)

My list is similar:
I know the ex-mayor of my town back at home, personally.
M parents knew lots of people in the government as well.

Obviously, in India.

What state you from?

I've meet a bunch of famous atheletes, mostly golfers and football players. The only ones I know that would know me if I called them would be
Mark Brooks - 96 PGA champion, played highschool and college golf with him
Roger Staubach - good friend of my uncles and have hung out with him quite a bit
Bob Lily - same as Roger

And I have a cousin that was a top motorcycle racer for many years in the 70's to mid 80's and won many of the top events, but I doubt anybody would recognize him unless you were a fan during that time.

I wouldn't really say I know any of these people, but I was neighbor to the following people over my lifetime:

1) Gaylard Sartain. He was actually the father of a really good friend. As a kid, I didn't really know he was famous.
2) Goldberg. He lives down the street from my old home.
3) Amber Valletta. She also lived down the street, and she was a friend of my ex-girlfriend's mother. It was her mother that "discovered" her.
4) Garth Brooks. He grew up literally next door to my aunt. I used to talk to him and see him long before he was famous.
5) Helen Hunt. She rented the house directly behind my grandparents when they were filming Twister. Many of the crew members would come over when they were having gatherings. The first time I met the director Jan de Bont was when he came over to fetch a baseball he had hit in the yard.

That's it I think.

Tiki Barber. Went to college with him and hung out with him twice through a dorm mate who was also on the football team. He probably remembers me as the guy in the wheelchair at o-hill.

word....and fixed

a guy that went to my highschool is/was his brother-in-law. His sister had the jungle fever for DT.

Agreed, I just didn't want to ruffle any feathers. He is hooking me up with some tickets to the game on Friday. :D
