It's all up again. Some plugins remain broken so spawn is now inside of a large adminium box instead of the nice massive glass box. I was waiting a little bit to see if they were going to fix World Guard but I gave up. I still need to tweak the permissions of a couple of the new plugins but it should be mostly be working right now.
 
I wish the fire would get fixed or something. I would really like a fireplace in my house, but I can't put one there because it would catch fire. It's a house made of brick, not wood, but I have some wool and wood around. I just wish it wouldn't go through stone.
 
Well one of the recent updates is that fire no longer infinitely burns so you can't have a fireplace anyway.

When it did work, it was possible (may be not guaranteed 🙂) to have a fireplace in a wood building. It's just that the fire could spread more than you thought. Before I put a fireplace in my real house, I made a mock one outside. Sure enough, some caught flame. I don't know the exact details but as you add stone blocks you could get it to not catch wood on fire. Like start by covering all adjacent blocks with stone, including diagonal ones, on all sides.

Netherrack doesn't stop burning.

That's what I tried too. I built one outside, but the fire travelled through the stone I had place around it and caught some wool on fire.


Also, I'm using hmod on a server that I'm running for a me and a couple of friends. I'm placing leaves to use as bushes, and it was working great earlier but now for some reason every leaf block I put down "falls" and disappears. The ones I placed earlier are still sitting fine, as long as I don't place a new block anywhere near them. If I place a new one next to an old one, it makes it fall too.

edit: nvm about the leaves. I haven't figured out what was causing it but I fixed the problem by placed logs in the ground ever so often. You can't see them unless you're looking for them.

Leaves are supposed to disappear when they aren't supported by a tree. That is why placing logs next to them will keep them from disappearing.
 
So is this like $20 now? It says 15 Euros, which is ~$21, just wondering if it ends up being the same price (converted to $) or if it varied. I have the game but my fiance wants to buy it for two of her siblings so I'm investigating.

Yes the price was increased from 10 to 15 Euros when it went from alpha to beta.
 
FYI, my server is completely functioning again. I got really busy with stuff and the 1.3 broke the world guard plugin for a long time. The 1.4 update wasn't that bad and all the plugins are working again. I even have the netherworld enabled now.

Price went up, but everybody who bought it before still gets all updates free. All the new customers will have to pay the new price.
 
Finally sat down and played a bit on Rocky's server. Game is really fun lol. I only meant to hop on and try it for like 30 mins but I ended spending a couple hours building my house and this huge cave which only came about because I was looking for iron.
 
I tried playing the browser version as there isn't a demo, but I get a java error

org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated

Does this error only exist in the browser version, or will I also receive it if I purchase the full version?
 
version 1.5 beta is out. Beware though, I think there's an issue with the world conversion from earlier releases. I'd get some sort of java exception in the server logs, the client would time out and be unable to log back in. There seem to be similar posts in the minecraft forums.

Since I don't care on my personal server, I just nuked my World folder and all seems to be working now with a new World. Just FYI for those who are hosting public servers.

In other online communities I frequent, people constantly post videos of the super cool cave they found, or the mountain they just mined out and it gets repetitive after a while...I guess it doesn't apply here since AT's minecraft thread doesn't see much action. Either that or the video just isn't funny at all for the rest of you 😛

I have found so many cool caves and other things and that's without going very far at all. Ya, I'd be bored of other people posting Vids about theirs too.

I absolutely hate creepers, even spiders, more than skellys. Creepers will come up and kill you with little warning. Skellys make quite a bit of noise and you can dodge the arrows pretty easily.
