who's for harsher penalties and punishment for criminals?

Wat? 😕 So what is the purpose of a speeding ticket? Just a monetary slow the fuck down or I'll have to lock you away from frostedflakes so he feels safe in society warning?

Do we just put them in jail and let them have 3 good squares a day, color TV, internet, college education, golf on the back nine, etc. etc. until we see fit to let them out?

Was more referring to very serious crimes. Manson's sentence of life imprisonment for example isn't so much about deterrence, it's just a way to keep him isolated from the rest of us. He's not ever going to be rehabilitated or released.

Obviously for lesser things (speeding ticket) the penalty is more about deterrence, though.
 
I'm all for it as long as it is kept very under control. Give a few chances but still be strict. And don't go crazy for small things that don't put anyone at harm. Also don't allow 3rd party law enforcement such as the RIAA to participate. Only the real government could make the final decision. For example someone who steals a few things from a corner store should not get their hand cut off, but perhaps have to pay HUGE fines, and the store owner would be allowed to go in the robber's house and take ANYTHING he wants, based on how much was stolen from the store. Stuff like this. Base the penalty on the situation and go case per case and make sure it's public so people see what happens when you do NN crime.

I would save the torture related ones only for super bad crimes like assault, excessive animal cruelty (multiple animals, or very brutally killed in a horrifying way).

I agree with cutting the penis off for rape or sexual harassment though. no chance given there, just do it. Cut the whole thing off, even the nuts. In fact in very bad sexual cases it should be grated off with a spinning wheel with dull blades soaked in vinegar.

They also need to do something for drunk drivers who cause accidents and death. They should have pure alcohol pumped into their system then be lit on fire.
 
I think citizens should be given more rights pertaining to their ability to defend themselves and their property. If someone is stealing your belongings you should be able to kill them. It's not like you can "accidentally" break into someone's house and rob them. They had to have thought it out.

Yes I fully agree with this.

Also any crime that deliberatly puts someone in danger or harms someone in a way or the other should have strict penalties or give the victim full rights to do what they want to the person. Things like smoking a joint should not count as they don't harm anyone but the person smoking the joint. IMO they are way too strict with that. I don't say make it legal, but just don't be so strict about it, concentrate on stuff that actually harms others.

Things like downloading MP3s and movies should just be legalized so the legal system can be used for more important things.
 
Death is the solution to everything. They should take all the death row inmates and shoot them by firing squad, then blind all the other inmates and release them back into the public.

We do have a 3 strikes law, convicted of 3 felonies, get life in jail.

I would propose a new 3 strikes law, get convicted of 3 serious felonies (rape, armed robbery, child molestation, murder, etc.) you get the death penalty. You have demonstrated that you can not function in a civilized society, so we will exercise our option to be rid of you, and not pay to continue your criminal education in an institutional setting.
