who's for harsher penalties and punishment for criminals?

if you are found guilty without any doubt whatsoever (caught at the scene, on camera, DNA, etc), you should be punished eye for an eye.

kill someone, death penalty.
rob someone, you get your hand cut off.
rape someone, you get your dick cut off.
assault someone, you get the shit beat outta you.
no jail time. you just get thrown back out on the streets because i highly doubt you'll be able to rape someone again without your penis.
we'll save so much money on jailing these criminals.

I'm all for the death penalty on true rapes (not stauatory rape or "I don't want people to think I'm a slut" rapes), DWI deaths, intentional border violations, espionage, and many murders.

I also think that those entrusted with power by the public should face stiffer penalties for their actions.

Unfortunately our legal system is not where it should be, so I'm hesitant to go around executing people. If there were a way to be 100% sure, then I would say go ahead.

It's exactly what it sounds like... you do to them what they did to others. If they stole, cutting off their hand is not 'eye for an eye'... stealing shit from THEM would be eye for an eye. If they raped someone, having someone else rape them (which should happen with jail time) is eye for an eye.

I think it's pretty barbaric. The way I look at it, you put dangerous people in jail to separate them from society, that way they can't harm anyone else. I don't look at it so much as punishment.

I'm not necessarily against capital punishment if the crime is serious enough and the evidence is strong enough, though. Again not because I really want to see them killed because of revenge or whatever, just seems more practical than letting someone sit in jail for the rest of their life and having the taxpayer pick up the tab.

There certainly a number of crimes that deserve harsher punishments, and plenty that are already punished too harshly. Regardless, I prefer our system where we don't go to extremes that would lump us in with the crazies from other certain areas of the world.

Clearly, if the person has more property/possessions than you, you would be entitled to their shit. But if they don't, then hands and limbs would suffice in lieu of money and property.
