All unstoppable when at the top of his game, but unlike Woods, the other two never leave the results in doubt.

There have been times when Tiger has trailed in tourneys, and there are times when you're ready to count him out..though the fact that he does manage to come back from it does say a lot, but it says quite a lot when people know what the ending will be before the event even begins.

Tiger still has Vijay and a few other guys who will keep it close in matches, but in non clay court situations there is no one can come close to Federer at the moment.

And Kobayashi's only real rivals are ones that aren't human, that bear sure did a number on him that one time..

lol @ kobayashi being on the list :)

I have to say Federer. At least people can beat Tiger. And eating hotdogs ain't really a sport :p though he can't be beat either.

Once Federer finds a way to beat Nadal on clay, he's going to have a few Grand Slams under his belt.

While I admire Kobayashi for what he can do, competitive eating is not a sport. Just like darts and chess are not sports.

Lava Man - won 6 of the toughest races this summer in a row
Bernardini - Would be the classic match for Lava Man (east cost vs west cost a la war admiral and seabiscuit)

Darts and Chess are games, not sports.

Competitve eating is certainly not a game.

If you assume kobayashi is an athlete, clearly he wins. Otherwise it's a bit of a coin toss between the two. It's kind of hard to compare tiger to federer. To be dominant in golf means something a lot different.

Neither is golf or tennis. I come from the school of the fake Hemmingway quote, "Auto racing, bull fighting, and mountain climbing are the only real sports ... all others are games." The interpretation is that any thing you can die in a gross and obvious fashion is a sport. All the rest are games... ;)

BTW, the Black Widow could eat Kobayashi.

Tiger...cause he has to play the course as well as other players....and they keep changing the courses after he wins...its not like they can change a tennis court after Federer beats the crap outta everyone....

Federer's game seems limited by certain surfaces but Tiger can adjust his game to any conditions and course (like this year's British Open).

Tiger by far!

Comparing golf to tennis is a difficult comparison. Being able to consistently dominate individuals in a match play environment (Federer) is not nearly as difficult as consistently dominating 155 players in a stroke play environment (Woods)

Just a quick tally of players who have successfully dominated in each sport gives you the answer.

Tennis-Conners,McEnroe,Borg,Sampras,Federer ect..,ect...

Golf-Woods,Nicklaus

I say Fedor from Pride. He lost once I think because of a cut. Other than that nobody has beat him that I know of.
Check out the highlight videos of him on youtube. He just destoys people.

The tennis court never changes. No one can Federer-proof a tennis court like they have tried to do w/ golf courses.

And I think it's dee-dee-dee

Federer made the finals of the french, which pete sampras never did. Has Tiger ever won 3 majors and been 2nd in the 4th in the same year? Not sure. True, Federer doesn't have the roger slam, yet... but he has dominated men's tennis more than anyone I know of in history, whereas Tiger and Jack were about equal in dominance. We need a Graf vs Sorenstam poll too, that would be a tough one.
