Who's car has the most miles?

Haven't seen this for a while 🙂
Mine: 1986 Pontiac Parisienne (Full size)
5.0 305 Chevy engine, 700R4 tranny, Torque Convertor Lockup Overdrive, 3.07 highway gears 🙂(), 4 doors, system.
180k on it, still pulling it strong.
Gonna take it up to at least 270k 😀

Let's hear what you gots 🙂
(Sorry to hear about your Honda Viper GTS 🙁)

1974 Mercedes Benz 240D

Well over 500K...but that was about 4 years ago and the odometer broke right after the big 1/2 mil mark.

Stills runs and I drive it to and from work everyday.

BTW It's for sale 😉

GEEEEEZ
I thought that the 300,000 miles I put on my Honda civic years ago was alot !

Got a 94 Interpid with 285000---dang he has 20 years on mine....

"What is my area?" I asked. "East of the Hudson river." they replied....

Aj_UF: And it's still running strong insn't it? 🙂

Mercedes diesels run forever! Wish I had one!

PS. Where do you live? Warm or Cold climate?

Finally sold my 88 Ford Taurus with 237K, and sold the Ford Escort stationwagon diesel with well over 350K (still running strong, just needed a new $200 starter).

I had a 83 old's Delta 88--5.o liter Chevy engine, 4 barrel engine that worked like a charm.

It had 180k miles on it.

I had to get rid of it because if failed this states new inspection tests, including the exhast test. I had the catalitic converter removed a few years ago when it developed problems. I am sure it would have gone on for many more times.

I have a 67 ford galaxie with either 140k, 240k, or 340k who knows 🙂.
I also have a 81 plymouth horizan that has 193k and my dad has a 96 ford t-bird with 240k and a 93 taurus with 200k. The taurus has a bad trans and the galaxie had an engine rebuild when it showed 23k. All the rest are original and still running good, well the horizan still runs 🙂.

i can't believe its still running..sheesh

My car has 39,000 miles on it, I jsut got it and it was my sisters, i put 3,000 miles on it in 4 months (not much, but before it was only getting 5,000 per year!) for 6 years and its time for a new one soon hopefully 🙂

My '87 Buick Rivera (The PiMpRiDe) has over 206k on it, and still going strong. I just put a new transmission in, (All by myself, I might add 🙂), and now it needs a MAF snesor (Died last weekend :|)

Here's my OLD page on it.

ALL HAIL THE BUICK 3.8 LITER!!!

😉

I have 249K right now on a 92 Mitsu. Expo. 5 spd.
Still kicking strong.
Going for 300K.

Psycho has a 1989 5.0 Mustang with 219,000 miles on it (original motor) and he ran the hell out of it. Still sounds sweet. 🙂

For those who asked...

The car was originally purchased in New Jersey in 1974...really owned by an older couple who drove down to Florida (Tampa Bay Area) in the late 70s/early 80's to retire. They kept meticulous records of everything done on the car...all by Lokey Mercedes on US 19.

The husband died and the woman sold the car to my father in 1988...in 1994 my father gave me the car as a gift. Of course, at that point the car had never had any major repairs--only oil changes, general maintenance, etc. Then I started driving it all over--I was in the Army stationed in Ft. Sill, OK (made that trip a few times)...drove all over the country...slowly but surely the car started to break down...little by little. Oil pump, water pump, engine mounts, brakes, clutch, everything rubber that carried a fluid, etc....never all at once, couple hundred here, there...Fortunately, I've never had to repair anything twice and it's been over a year since it's needed any work (I think I've replaced everything that may have worn out)...mechanics would always carry the part that broke to show me with a bit of reverence, "This is the original <part>...amazing" Then again, I was a good customer for a few years there 🙂

I've actually took some dig. pics a few days ago that I could post if anyone was interested.

Boy, this has got to be my longest post ever. I'll wrap it up now...
