we only have 35 in stock(best buy( and they wont let employees hold on to em.. gotta wait on line and I WORK in the morning 🙁

i set up the ds table and we had a crap load of games andjust 35 systems LOL

VeggieFrog is a HUGE Nintendo fan...

she has the GameCube, the AdvanceSP and an old 64 (that she REFUSES to let me throw away). I bought her a brand new XboX system, with all the bells&whistles, but she would not entertain the thought.

She will want one of these, eventually, I am sure.

you dont play it cause its ugly??? thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard, the xbox, ps2, a computer, they are all uglt, do you not use them for the same reasons?
 
I played Metroid DS on one today, the screen was kinda hard to see but other than that it was great, I might have to get one
 
No. I'm happy with my GBA SP. When a flash cartridge becomes available for the DS, then that's another story.

Ok, by ugly how about not functional either?

Anyway, don't the asthetics of cell phones, PDAs, cd/mp3 players or other technological "gadgets" weigh on your mind when considering a purchase? Sure I won't just buy something for the sheer fact that it looks cool, but if I'm borderline and something looks badass of course I'm more willing to get it. I'm a consumer and I like it.
 
I have a preorder in at my local EB Games. I hope they have the demo setup so I can try it out before paying the balance on mine.

To me the screen was hard to see, just like the orig GBA, If it was just the bright lights in the store that was the problem its ok, but if its not then that would keep me from getting one, other than that Metroid DS was fun

Its call Nintendo "high quality" service.Im shocked to see that BB got 35 lol.They r lucky.I work in an independant store in canada and we got TWO!(2)!!!

Nintendo is always creating this demand with their product when their create a new system.Same story happen with gcube,N64,gba etc.When they luch the system they ship only 5 % of the demand to make people panic.

OOOO and btw iv tried it 😛.Its an ok system.IMPRESSIVE for being a portable one tho.But think about a N64x2 is what you can expect in terms of graphic.Mario is cool.Asphalt racing SUCK!The demo on metroid is cool.(you can play multiplayer wireless with 2 system its very cool)

Will ity replace the GBA? Yes as long as it doesnt have the same gaming library of the N64 🙂

Do i buy it tomorrow? Hell no.I just feel too old for those kind of toys.And at 199 CND( 149 us? )Its expensive imo for a simple portable system...when i can game on my xbox on my tv for the same price.

probably the bright lights in the store. I had the same problem with all the older gameboy when I played it in the store. When I took it home it was much better because of less light. This was at a Target where they seem to have bright lights.

Yep. Played a demo unit at Target and screen visibility was a pain in the ass due to the overhead flourescent lights. The DS is backlit which will provide excellent lighting.
