Do not even go near the grey area.

It is to easy to "innocently" slip or the girl may mistake your intentions or create a situation of her own to bag a trophy. Your head would look perfect mounted above the fireplace!

The father will also be watching you. If problems/complaints arise, the law will treak the grey area in the girl's favor.

I have only one thing to say: 15 will get you 20.

I'd give her your number and say "call me in three years when you turn 18".
 
You're a 19yo attracted to a 14yo that looks like a 17yo.....no biggie as long as you have the common sense to leave her be, and it sounds like you do, all is well . I know guys who could care less (guys older than 19) and try to take advantage of her youth and inexperience. Give yourself a pat on the back bud. You were honest with yourself, realized that you cannot act on the attraction, and vented. you did good. Maybe when she's 20 and you're 25...who knows, some girls are suckers for the "I really was attracted to you way back when" thing.....don't tell her when she was 14 though, say 17 or something.
 
What do you guys think about younger guy, older woman relationships?

All the girls that I've been attracted to as a whole (instead of just physical) have been a few years older than me. They just seem so uncommon though. Like 99% of the time it's younger girl, older guy.

Agreed, I see where you are coming from Kami(my fault).....but some would draw the comparison very quickly w/o bothering to examine the situation carefully.
I personally WOULD call a man a pedophile(accurate or not) that was showing interest in my 14 year old daughter (Stefan excluded...now). I would want him to get the msg. pretty damn fast. I cannot imagine what the wife would do...but I assure you my actions would be kind in comparison.

Yeah, but if Stefan was the guy who was attracted to your daughter, you wouldn't even know! AFAIK, he is keeping this totally to himself, but is just expressing his concern here anonymously (well, almost) because he knows it's not RIGHT to have these thoughts. It's NATURAL, but definitely not right. He isn't acting on them, so there's no problem.

If I had a dime for every freshman girl that was going out with a senior guy when I was in high school (which was a wopping two years ago)....

....this website would have a new name, because I'd be able to buy it 😉

It's still too big of a age difference for me personally, but just giving some people another way to look at it.

Seriously, you can't say you weren't ever attracted to someone a couple years your junior. I'm not condoning it, and I certainly would never do it, but don't think I've never had a passing (sub-conscious, of course) thought...

Stefan: Your best bet is to kindle a good relationship (friendship) with her for the next 4 years. REALLY get to know her, etc. Then make your move when it would be politically correct (and legal) to do so.

Although, being on the other side of the fence, I wouldn't have seen anything wrong with going with a 19 year old guy when I was 14 1/2. I doubt my dad would've cared too much as long as the guy was respectable (as if I'd pick a loser guy, pfffft). Of course, my dad was always pretty cool about stuff like that. I wouldn't advise going after her, though.

Exactly! The realistic truth is if Stefan gets to know her better and hangs out with her his fantasy is going to get stronger and stronger. I suggest he cut ties completely.
 

don't feel bad man. but it is a bad idea to act on it. very bad. plus it probably wouldn't turn out very well, as you would likely find her immature after a while.

i think many of you have forgotten about when you were that age. when i was just turned 19, i remember meeting this girl at a party...stacked out of her mind, looked to be about 18 or 19, but i could tell she was younger. figured she was like 16 or 17 and just looked older....turned out she was 14. but BELIEVE ME, NONE OF YOU would have been able to tell. she had monster boobs, dressed like a slut, looked of age, but you knew she wasn't...you just couldn't tell how &quot;wasn't&quot; she really was 😉

anyway, that still doesn't make it right, or a good idea in general. the point im making is that there are lots of 14 yr olds who are VERY mature for their age, so don't condemn the kid for being tempted.

just for the record..my father met my mom when he was 30 and she was 17...they dated for 3 years...got married...had 2 children..and lived happily ever after for 42 years till he passed away last year..

they met and married in another country though..

 
you don't have to settle for anybody. don't go for the 14 year old, or at least wait. her personality and maturity isn't even close to developed, even if females develop faster. junior high, high school, college, and especially work are important experiences. get to know her, but don't pressure her or rush her at all. personally, i don't think you should tell her.

getting back to my comment about settling. if you would rather go out with her older sister, but you're not because you have no chance... then thats one good reason why you shouldn't go for the younger sister.
