She is so underprepared for this, it really is no wonder McCain has reigned in the VP debates to limit the damage.
Honestly, she would add nothing to the whitehouse, no benefit to McCain at all, she is clearly just a trophy VP aimed at vote grabbing.
She commits to absolutely nothing in this interview and equivocates on absolutely everything. She also has no actual history of McCain; she's not been paying attention. If she doesn't help lose this campaign for McCain, it's because people aren't paying attention.

Not me, I want to see her ravaged. I want to see anybody incompetent for the office ravaged for their hubris; they deserve no less, for this is no game and we've seen what rife incompetence can do behind the wheel. If she is as bad as she often appears, she should be sent away crying and humiliated because the country cannot stand for another four years of this kind of silliness.

No, she isn't retarded. She is your average American who knows little about politics. My mechanic, however, who has an interest in politics, could have answered all of Couric's questions. The problem with Palin is that she has an uncurious mind. She doesn't engage the world, but steps around its edges, while pretending to engage. She has risen so far above her level of incompetence that people are wondering if maybe they've missed a sudden turn in human evolution. 🙂

First thing that comes to mind when reading that transcript is it's above my paygrade.
Would love to see interviewers question all the candidates in such a nice hard way instead of the softball that bho and crowd have been receiving. It's just a true shame that when palin is asked a question she actual goes and gives just her straight answer instead of spending several minutes with some finely crafted political palaver that answers nothing and results in the interviewer moving on to a new question.
But then again, to expect similar treatment for all interviews would be expecting there to be no bias. 🙂

She brought it up. I know she took Journalism in college but when going into politics you need to think like a lawyer. For example, lawyers never ask a question they don't know the answer to. Hence, if she brought up a topic, her handlers should've warned her about the different directions that topic could've gone and have a ready answer. She didn't.

About right now I'm betting that a lot of Republicans are wishing the mcCain would have picked Romney instead of the School Marm. She has nothing to offer the ticker where as Romney has his economic know how and experience running a real State Government.

Just trying to get an honest answer to this. Why would Romney have been a bad choice? He definately is more qualified. If you wre trying to make news and get a qualified female what about Kay Bailey Hutchison? Those two are more qualified and conservative.
While disagreeing with their stand on many issues I would not be worried with them taking over if something happens to McCain.

How is that clip not what is claimed in the above quote, concerning her inability to defend her own assertion with facts/examples/record on the issue?
I have agreed with your opinions more than once when reading through threads here. The dems get lathered up, sometimes making a mountain out of a mole hill, but you really have said nothing in this thread. You make an ambiguous comment, then proceed to, (how it appears to me anyways), do nothing more than be pugnacious toward the other posters. If you can explain that clip differently, you'll find myself, and some other lurkers too, perhaps, willing to impartially consider it. Lacking such a response, it just looks like a drive by.

CAD is falling back on what partisan hacks in a lot of forums have done since the Palin interview came out. They have nothing valid to say anymore to defend their beloved VPILF Palin so they resort to outright insults on the other members.
Karl Rove must be sweating bullets right now trying to figure out what new message to push on the conservative talk shows now that his talking points have faltered in the face of the economic woes our country is facing right now.
