I'm deaf and I have an alarm clock that comes with vibration. You just insert where you want to be awake. I put it under my mattress and it shakes beneath.

I felt a small earthquake where I live in NY about 6 or so years ago. I had never felt one, so I thought our house was falling down. I was freaked out. It made the news big time because it's such a rare occurence here.
