I'm up in Thousand Oaks\Westlake Village visiting my brother and family.

I just felt something nudge my chair and was very confused. Now I know what it was.

funny alarm clocks you have, eh?

Haha quite funny!

I'm deaf and I have an alarm clock that comes with vibration. You just insert where you want to be awake. I put it under my mattress and it shakes beneath.

I'm in North County San Diego and I felt it pretty good. I'm about 50 miles from the epicenter.

CheapArse must have really felt it, he's about 15 miles closer than me.

Its not that bad. This one was pretty minor. Slight rumbling that initially I atributed to a passing truck or a gust of wind thru the window that was pushing my closed bedroom door around. That died down after 4 seconds, 2 second gap, then the second stronger wave hit. Still very minor, enought to make me get up from ATOT and walk to the doorway (w/o any difficulty). By the time I got there, it was over.

The Whitter earthquake made me fall down a set of stairs, mostly because it surprised me and it was my first earthquake.

Talk to people that were in San Franciso for the 1989 Loma Prieta (World Series) earthquake, or in the Valley for the Northridge quake.

I lived in Torrance (South Bay) during the Northridge quake and that one really shook us up. It opened cabinets, stuff fell out of them, things fell over and broke. I woke up from a sound sleep and instantly jumped up and ran to the nearest doorway. I thought the building was going to come down for sure. That was, by far, the scariest quake I've felt.

I didn't even get up for this one.
