Anyone know if the RIAA has started going after other p2p networks, such as direct connect or winmx?
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if they haven't yet, with p2p, they will.
Consider me slow. Can you explain?
The RIAA targeted Napster, then Audiogalaxy, then that Grokster incident, and now Kazaa, and Grokster's name is still in the news. As P2P networks become popular, they will draw attention from the RIAA. Winmx is a long lasting name, surely they will be targetted eventually, if not already.
The RIAA's goal, seemingly and realistically, is to remove internet music pirating from the mainstream.
