I have some friends whose relatives screamed and cried, too. The only difference is that they were naked and in large, dark gas chambers awaiting their deaths.

GM, Ford, GE, catapiller, tupolev fo the facsimile of the B-29 that he made. at first the US steel industry but now germany and japan's steel industry (they had to rebuild all their factories after the war, so now they're cheaper than US steel). US style mass consumerism. russian heavy industry. russian consumer industry lost. well, russia didn't really have one, but the triumph of heavy industry helped a bit. the jews lost, then they won, and the palestinians lost. england lost its empire, singapore, malaysia, won independence. world government advocates won too.
 
Winter, slowed the German advance in to Moscow, gave time for the Russians to build the T-34(?) tank into mass production, help push the Germans back west. If US didn't enter the war Germany would had better air force, let alone the war would of dragged on and Germans would have been able to develop the jet into mass production.......

Too many things had an effect the war.

whoa whoa. Germany definately was devoloping barges to sail across the channel to invade England. Although I will give you it's not quite as cool as LSTs, etc, it still would have worked if the RAF had been neutralized. No no, the Germans could have gone across the Channel, it's lucky for the brits they won the air war. That, in turn, was luck due to German overconfidence and Goring's continual switching of targets. If the cards had fallen out even a little differently Hitler would have captured England, then turned and swept Germany, and, maybe the rest of Europe.

I believe the Germans had aproximately 4 chances to win the war and were within a hair's breath when they changed tact. Truly amazing, if you think of it like that.

I'm an athiest, but I'm a Jewish atheist. That is, I come from a Jewish background, so did I, too. This whole thread is way too silly to get into replaying the ugly story we all know happened.

If the germans had not opened two fronts fighting Russia and the British on two different sides of their country I think the world would be a much different place today.

If you want to start posting in Russian, fine. For all I would know, you could just be talking about perogies and snow, and I wouldn't care. However, it is VERY offensive to me that you expect a message board owned by an American company and mainly populated by native speakers of english to parse your very poorly written posts only to find out that you've been making fun of us. I'm happy to try to communicate with someone as long as they aren't being abusive, but I'm not going to put forth the effort only to find out that I've been called fat or stupid. Lastly, I have absolutely no responsibility to learn your language. I'm an American living in America posting on a message board hosted by an American country on an American server. How do you like that for a clever answer?

Soviet Union defeated Germany. They could have done it even without Overlord (they were already driving germans back to Germany long before Overlord). Anyone who claims otherwise doesn't know what he's talking about. Overlord shortened the war considerably, but Germanys defeat was certain even before it.

USA defeated Japan, that's for sure.

But, in short: It was a war between the Axis (Germany, Japan and to lesser extent Italy) and the Allied (USA, Soviet Union, The Commonwealth and France). The Allied won the war.
