I've come to believe that Bernie staying in the race actually helps Hillary. There are a lot of moderate Republicans out there who do not like Trump or the extreme right of the party that Trump is appealing to. But with Bernie in race holding the left flank, Hillary appears as the centrist candidate. Or at least the one least likely to do something crazy.

Who will liberals blame? Lt. Col. Steve Cogswell. Lt. Col. David Hause. Air Force Maj. Thomas Parsons. Hell there is a long frickin list, and I mean a long frickin list of people liberals have no idea about even though they damn well should. It is disgusting really, how much ignorance is allowed to fester.
The plane crashed into a mountain killing all 35 on board.

Maybe you worded that poorly but are you saying that the moderates and the "extreme right" don't like Trump? If so, who is supporting him now?

You compared black people to an inferior breed for a specific task. I don't think black people are inferior for any task. But I'm the racist? You're either insane or an idiot.
Projecting doesn't take away the fact that you compared black people to mules. You did that, not me. I don't believe black people are inferior for anything. A mule can never compete with a race horse for speed no matter how much you help it.
So your comparison is that black people are better suited for certain tasks? Yup, that's pretty racist and idiotic. Just inferior for certain tasks?
I know plenty of white people who were given crap to start with and plenty of black kids who had a head start in comparison. Why should we give a hand to kids who don't need it and a handicap to kids that can't bear it? Because of their skin color? Pretty racist.
So if you are a disadvantaged white, you're screwed? If you're a black kid who doesn't need the help, you get it anyway.

I just find it fascinating that you are calling me a racist and a bigot because I want to treat everybody equally.
Treat people equally! "You bigot!" You're an insane person.
Because I want people to be treated equally I am Satanic? Simply stunning.

If any person is disadvantaged I think they should get some kind of hand up. Not just certain races.

I used mules to expose how your bigotry would leap to comparing two animals with greater and lesser capacity to run fast, to the notion that one is superior to the other, as if fast were a universally desirable quality, necessarily, outside of a horse race. I first considered using donkeys but I knew you'd have taken that personally.

What's funny is that Hillary was extremely popular not that long ago. Her favorability ratings among Republicans spiked as soon as she stopped being a presidential candidate and then tanked again as soon as she became one again. It's not like she changed who she was, it's just that Republicans liked her when she wasn't a threat. That's the nature of our negative partisanship.

But at the same time, her ratings during her 2008 campaign (and before people really thought she wasn't going to win) were much better than they are now. About +20 better.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/clinton_favorableunfavorable-644.html

I concede that she's significantly less popular while she's running for president, but perhaps that's not all there is it to it. Running a campaign doesn't just place you as the existential threat to the other side but brings lots of things about you front and center that you weren't talking about beforehand. And brings forth a lot of different things that people are now looking into and saying about you. There have been some noteworthy differences between those things during Hillary's 2008 vs those things in her campaign now.

In 2008 people thought that voting democrat meant voting middle class interests. Now they are beginning to see that to do that requires voting socialist and a political revolution or for a right winged dictatorship.

Did this sound convincing as you were typing it? It certainly didn't as I was reading it. You compared black people to mules, not me.

I said mules need a handicap if you want to race them fairly against horses. Your Demonic Posession did the rest racial bigotry that hides behind the sanctity of equality. How hideous can you be?

I recommend reading the article (don't skip it because of its length). I found it entertaining and insightful. Specifically I learned how we judge on the basis of affiliation even when our criterion seems to be something else and thus create double standards. For example:

Everyone, even Osama, is a human being, and we should never rejoice in the death of a fellow man (...) Then a few years later, Margaret Thatcher died (...) the most common response was to quote some portion of the song “Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead”. (...) Osama provokes a snap judgment of “flawed human being”, Thatcher a snap judgment of “scum”.

How many times have I said that the key to everything is self hate projected on others, the notion that other people are guilty of the faults that you yourself have. But when you know that you hate yourself and have felt it so as to be certain, and relive the events themselves in the original, you come to the understanding that because we are unconscious of what we feel, we can't blame anybody for anything. We are filled with rage and there is nobody we can logically blame. Sleepers can't be blamed for anything because they know not what they do. Can you carry that pain free of blame?

I don't believe black people are mules and don't require a handicap, but I'm the racist. Ok

I've also stated that if people need a hand up, they should get it, regardless of what color they are. But that's racist too according to an insane person.

No you simply do as all bigots do, hide your bigotry behind a moral truth unrelated to the issue at hand. Naturally all people who need a hand up should have a hand up. The issue is that our society is plagued with the damage done to people with black skin, that black skin has created a handicap for people that color that persists right up to today, and that the ideal that all who need a hand up should get one is not going to happen in this racist society both for financial and racist reasons. Right up to today, identical resumes supplies with different photos of black and white applicants get picked or rejected simply by the color of the person in the photo. You are simply a lying asshole who will not see that your lying ivory tower bullshit is nothing but racism. Americans continue to be handicapped by the color of their skin and ignoring that fact as you conveniently do puts you right up there in the Satanic class. Hiding behind your moral smugness is a person experiencing profound moral failure. Get thee behind me, please. You are disgustingly inferior. :)

You're too stupid or insane to see that comparing black people to mules and that they need a hand is the actual racism. I don't believe black people are inferior.

Naturally all people who need a hand up should have a hand up.
You want a blanket racist policy to do so. You're black? You need help. That is racist.
The issue is that our society is plagued with the damage done to people with black skin, that black skin has created a handicap for people that color that persists right up to today, and that the ideal that all who need a hand up should get one is not going to happen in this racist society both for financial and racist reasons.
Then there will be more black people who need a hand up, but not all of them need it. There are whites who have had a disadvantaged upbringing who you couldn't care less about, why? Because they aren't black. Instead of racist policies perhaps we should be smart and help people who need it, not those who don't.
Right up to today, identical resumes supplies with different photos of black and white applicants get picked or rejected simply by the color of the person in the photo.
And you think treating people unequally is going to fix that?
You are simply a lying asshole who will not see that your lying ivory tower bullshit is nothing but racism.
And you compared black people to mules, not me. I'm not racist I think everybody has the same inherent potential, not you, you think blacks need a head start simply because they are black. Lets help everybody who needs it.
Americans continue to be handicapped by the color of their skin and ignoring that fact as you conveniently do puts you right up there in the Satanic class.
I'm saying treating people unequally isn't the pathway to treating them equally. Explain to me who Satan is and how do you know it. Did you invent your own Satan like you did with your god?

Will they even get close to realizing it's because of a brain defect? Will they think of anything more original than that the whole world is stupid? There will be so many tails in need of donkeys to pin them to.

Never. It's always the other guy's fault.

Clinton will win because Trump supporters asked for it. If Trump wins, it's on Democrats. Both sides have gone beyond understanding anything else. Human centipedes can see nothing when they have their heads up their own ass. Neither accepts that perhaps the general population doesn't like either but will claim a "mandate" if they win. What they won is an award for the best polished turd.

lol +1 and well said. I've missed your input in our own little cesspool here.

We can choose between two horrible individuals knowing one of them will ascend, or we can vote for some third party (<cough> Gary Johnson) knowing that our vote will make absolutely no difference. Personally I prefer not attempting to pick up a turd by the "clean" end. Whomever wins, I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that at least I didn't help them do it.

I've avoided this place for a number of reasons, but for today at least I am able to deal with the nonsense. I was on a heavily right leaning board, virtually the ideological opposite of many here and know what? There wasn't a heck of a lot of difference in mental processes. Couldn't hear a thing over their own clicking of their keyboard keys. That got old too. Reddit has been fun because you never know for sure whats going to come up. It's big enough for diverse opinions, some stupid for sure because well, reddit.

Still, it isn't an echo chamber for just one agenda.

I'll be back next week or November. Never can tell.

I had that same experience on Hannity.com and lucyann.com. They had zero tolerance for any dissenting view, and each kept mysteriously losing my account. Eventually I got the hint; it was an echo chamber because they wanted an echo chamber. The conservative version of a safe space. It's the online equivalent to smelling one's own farts, and it only works if no one says eew.
