Who will grab the NL Wildcard?

Crazyness going on. All the talk about a giants/cubs race and now the astros slip a 1/2 game ahead.

Who do you think can pull it out this coming weekend? Astros are looking tough..atleast to me.
Who do you want to pull it out? Cubs all the way.

Poll added

Nut, if im correct the Astros just swept SL. SL may be "done" for the regular season, and might not give a $hit if they win/lose but they arent invincble.

No team is invincible, I agree. SL seems to be picking up tho, getting back in the swing of things (pun not intended but gladly used).

I think that the Astros will take it, based on their schedule, but I would love to see the Cubs take it. SF has to play LA, so their chances are small.

I just realized something. San deigo is only 2.5 games back, and they are playing the giants again tonight...it would take alot of luck for them to have a chance... but we realistically have 4 teams seperated by 2.5 games.. good stuff.

Edit: Padres Added

Well, the Padres would have to win all of the rest of their games and the Astros would have to lose the rest of their games, but I guess it IS possible.

And...oh yeah - Go 'STROS!! 🙂

I hope SF makes it. Even though he's an a-hole, I love watching Barry swing. 🙂

SF can kiss my @ss, especially BB.
Bonds can svck my ****

Hopefully Chitown can pull it out, but the Stros are high powered so it'll be a sprint. SF doesn't have a prayer.

Schedules: Cubs || 1 Reds || 3 Braves
Astros || 3 Rockies
Giants || 1 Padres || 3 Dodgers
Padres || 1 Giants || 3 Diamondbacks

The Astros should go 3-0 this weekend against the rockies, or they just dont deserve it...

Anyone who says the cubs suck has obviously never been to Wrigley, that should be enough for you to like them 😀

Bartman for Pres!!

Hey Red! I see you left Oakland just in the nick of time; b4 they collapse!😀

Unfortunately, I don't think my Cubs are gonna pull it off. They just don't have the killer instinct like they did last year. They have lost a ton of key games this year. The bullpen has been weak (Hawkins, my god, 9 blown saves, he's just a loss waiting to happen). Sosa has been slumping. Starting rotation is on and off the DL. On paper they look awesome, but they haven't translated that to wins this season. Even if they do hold on to win the wild card, I don't think they'll get too far in the playoffs.

Eh, yet another "wait til next year"...

I'm just happy they got rid of the there short stop from last year. I feel he blew the fateful Marlins game, not the fan.

For those of you who didnt pay attention, he fumbled the next ball, hit right at him, routine groundball, same batter as that foul ball.. ahh so much anger 😀

Hey Red,

How bout them Chokeland A's this year? At least they won't subject you through the pain of five straight playoff chokes!

You'd think they would somehow avoid to learn how to choke.....I can't imagine Chicago if the cubs ever win another world series...

Yeah, but I'll take the playoffs anyway, it's a blast... 🙂

It's awfully hard on your nerves to be a Cubs fan...
