I was wondering what people thought about that. I'd say FDR or Lincoln, assuming Bush and Clinton didn't plan or want 9/11, and that Clinton didn't order Columbine and OK City.

Obama is the guy who would let a mis-aborted baby die unattended. It would be hard to find anyone else to be that cold. Selling America's kid down the debt river doesn't help

Clinton pitching a cruise missle to get the news away from his hogger was pretty mean too

Obama's Presidency isn't over, so I didn't include him. He may very well be the cruelest President after it's all over though.

Polk, JFK, and Reagan were also pretty cruel, but I didn't have room for them either. Reagan didn't do anything to his own people, and McNamara was probably more behind the atrocities than JFK was. Polk had American soldiers in harms way, but he didn't go out of his way to the extent FDR and Wilson did to get the enemy to fire the first shot.

I decided on FDR overall, due to him conscripting, lying, causing Pearl Harbor and at the same time imprisoning and torturing American citizens of Japanese descent for something FDR wanted to happen.

Bush 43 let Cheney harvest the organs of our brave soldiers to keep his cyborg body alive.

Where is Nixon, I demand my right to cast a vote for Nixon.
yeah, getting us out of Vietnam, pushing desegregation, supporting the equal rights amendment, forming the EPA and OSHA, and signing the Clean Air Act... what an a-hole.

really, I think it depends how we define cruel... are we talking about personally, wantonly cruel, or the presidents whose policies enacted the cruelest results?

I feel like Barbara Bush should be included in the poll.

I voted FDR because of the imprisonment of our own citizens but shortly after realized I should have voted for jackson :(

I suppose at least we can say FDR should have known better in the 21st century. Though I cant complain that much because he did end WW2 and keep the country from falling apart in the depression.

Im amazed about the vast number of people voting for bush, Yeah he was responsible for some torture, but compared to so many other things that happened here its peanuts.

It's not like we won the war with Nippon because of Robert S. McNamara or anything....

FDR causing Pearl Harbor... You are a fuckwit.
