who still uses ICQ?

evident

Lifer
I haven't used it since i was in middle school and it was to chat w/ people who played AOE and war2 w/ me.

does anyone still use it regularly? If so, is there any particular demographic (like countries, etc)
I use AIM on a regular basis.

random epeen flashing: i have a 7 digit icq number lulz -

It's hooked up to my meebo account, and I think it's attached to Trillian as well..but I haven't had ICQ installed for years. I remember the 'uh-oh' sound when you got a message, though. 😛

I haven't used it in years. I don't remember my number, but I was able to find myself, and it's 7 digits. Does that make me cool?

Ah, fond memories of ICQ. I used it a lot back in college from 94-98. I think it's still used quite a bit overseas in places like Germany.

Yeah I still have some friends on it and I still set it to login automatically to it from Pidgin. I'd like to say that it's been a while since I actually chat on it, although I couldn't really tell since with Pidgin I never paid attention to what IM I'm using.

ICQ was my first instant messenger. 6 digit UIN here.

uh oh!! man, i had to kill that sound after the first week
i stopped using ICQ after aol bought it and the whole thing was just bloatware. it was great in the dorms for chatting and passing hw around. hehe.

Wish I could find my old number just for bragging sake, it's ancient. But I can't even remember what email I used back in those days... I made the account in 1996 I think

Used it back in the days of ICQ 97-99 I think, something happened to my old number (7 digits I think) but even before whatever happened to it, I basically grew out of the 'online friends' thing and only kept in touch with mostly people I knew in person and mostly on MSN since everyone I knew used that primarily. It was fun back in the day, though.

I remember being annoyed at the newer versions being bloatier, cause my computer at the time was so pathetic. 😛

I haven't used mine in years, I have NO clue who has even logged into it or if they even remember their account. I doubt it. I sent everybody a message to contact me on my email if they ever got the message.

I felt like Obi Wan Kenobi after the Jedi Temple was destroyed LOL

I used ICQ in the mid-90's to communicate with our son who was in the Marine Corps. MUCH cheaper than a phone call at the time.

I quit using it for several years and lost my number to someone else...so about 8 years ago, I had to get a new one. 314 something 9 digits now. IIRC, the original one was 5 or 6 digits.

I still use it once in a great while to chat with a friend in Fresno.
