older american muscle cars went straight well, but you have to setup a car quite a bit different for "real" handling and traction the way a autocross car travels.
"Real" handling huh?

any city with good planning has straight roads.

and until I see pics I don't buy into ANYONE doing Auto-X, weeknight drag racing is one thing it's $25 and you don't mess up your car, Auto-X takes a lot out of the car and it's not exactly a weeknight event.

Inserts sound of 1968 Hemi Dart pulling a 10 sec 1/4 mile ET. Stock. @7000+ RPM

**Boy Yeah**

Take that ferrari!

compared to a ferrari, dumbass, and i really doubt a stock 68 dart will run 10s. you can't compare the strip to city streets for auto x...
Ok stupid noob. Time to take you to school.

Before you post something about which you know next to squat, try a google search first. Or maybe do some kind of research before you prove you are the dumbass.

In 1968 Chrysler (MOPAR) continued their SuperStock program by offering the SuperStock Dart/Barracuda for heavy duty competition. The engine was a cross rammed 426 (7 litre) ci V8. Magnesium intake and high lift solid cam and 12:1 compression all contributed to factory stock 550 hp (under rated). It included the nearly indestructible Dana 60 (4.88 gears) rear axle, super heavy duty 727 auto or bullet-proof 4 speed manual and no options. At around $5000 it was a bargain. Put some real tires on it and open the headers and you have the fastest 1/4 mile production car ever made. High 10's bone stock and with some tweaking 9's are in order. They still hold the SuperStock A class records turning 7's.

Now where is that ferrari? Oh yeah, he is still shifting into 4th as he nears the finish line with its awesome 13 sec ET.

Now please feel free to STFU.

" I've only owned it a few months and haven't taken the time to do any mods on it. It is a single 2.5" diameter pipe from front to back with a dual-tip muffler."

There's not much need for any mods with that setup, is there? Does it sound far different from that white one?

Like I said, I only notice the annoying cars. I expect muscle cars to rumble, so I don't give that much thought, either. The 4.6L engines I'm stuck with, better just be quiet. That's all I can say.
