I have some friends that go to college up there, I'll have to ask them if they have any pictures. If I was very courageous I could drive up there myself, but I have no real reason.

I am a little over 100 miles to the South in Broome county (we have barely any snow here).

I have a link for you from a TV station out of Syracuse, NY with a video montage of viewer photos: LINKY

I used to go to Oswego frequently to watch "Supermodifieds" race at Oswego Speedway (The "Steel Palace")

No pictures here either, but after reading this post, I wanted to chime in ;). It's nice to see someone who lives close, although I'm in Tioga at the moment :p.

Great pictures. My favorite is the guy who dug a walking path to his car. There's no way he'll shovel a space wide enough for the car to drive, so I assume he really needed some cds he had left in there.

thats so awesome I want snow! They're saying DC may finally get some real snow if this storm comes from the south and the cold air keeps down here, they're always good when its between 28-30* and southern moisture!

Reminds me when I was young around 1969-1972 and the snow banks in Quebec City reached several feet high. You'd come to an intersection and had to proceed slowly on the sidewalk before crossing a street because the 8' snowbanks prevented you from seeing if cars were coming.

We used to dig tunnels and forts in the snow when I was young and sometimes a kid would get swallowed by the snow-blower because he had made his fort outside his backyard and into the sidewalk snow banks. That was always traumatic for the snow-blower operator as the stuff being blown into the truck would suddenly turn crimson and include minced clothing, body parts and bones.

Psh....only 100"? Back in the day that used to be normal, and by back in the day I mean back in the early 80s/late 70s or so. Last few years we'd be lucky to get that much over the whole winter season :(

Oh well, back to my sunshine and 50F weather on the west coast :)

Yes, we don't get near the amount of snow here in the "Southern-Tier" that our neighbors north of the thruway by the lake do. We are usually good for 2 or 3 "6-12" storms a season though.

Here is an old picture of my house from a storm in January 2003
