I like all the variations of kim chee, and I'm white. Authentic Korean restaurants ftw.

I for one am a white person and I love spicy food.
Also, I pretty much always order everything extra spicy. And I usually ask for hot sauce or peppers that I can smother the food in as well.

That said, Kimchi is good, however, I've only had it a few times as there aren't many Korean restaurants near me.

I hate bland food. I love bold flavors.

It smells but its good, my roommate had it in a airtight jar & there was no smell. Only when he put it on his plate.

lmao.. kimchi is nowhere near too spicy

i've had bul tak (spicy chicken) and i remember some korean colleagues won't even touch it without a glass of milk by their side.

burns you when you eat it and burns you the morning after on the other side.

A crew of Korean contractors had a pot luck of kinchi and sushi in my office one day. When I walked in at noon, the whole place smelled horrible, I almost gagged. They offered me some, so I tried it just to be polite.

That stuff rocked, ten minutes later I had lost all dignity and was shovelling it in with both hands.

LoL. I think it smells better than it tastes personally. To me it's ok. I like other Korean stuff more like Bi Bim Bop or Bulgogi..

Since I've been living in Korea for the past 9 months, I am qualified to say kimchi is awful.

completely.

it actually tastes good, took a while to get used to it though.

.......better than the roasted silkworm shells or grilled tentacles that you get to smell a mile away everywhere you go in korea.

I had some kimchi a few weeks ago for the first time, but it wasn't REAL kimchi....it was extremely mild. It was at a trendy restaurant that had Korean BBQ on the menu....(Beef Short Rib with Kimchi) It was REALLY good, but there was just little spice. I can't wait to try the real thing.

I know all the girls at the asian massage parlors here in my town like kimchi. The dragon breath smell is bad enough to almost get my mind off the happy endings.

bi bim bop is literally translated as "mixed rice". usually it has various veggies, a fried egg, sometimes some grilled meat, and a bit of hot pepper sauce served on top of rice.

i like that too. i'm korean myself, and i speak the korean language.

If you want to kick it up a notch, try some nam bplah on your kimchi. It'll make you glad to be alive. :)
