I'll vote for him. Even though he won't win, I am happier to vote for the candidate I actually want, than the split personalities of R and D.

After Reagan I voted Libertarian. No matter who was screwing up the country, I could always say I didn't vote for him. Kerry changed that. President Poodle? Chance not.

I would vote for Ron Paul again...mostly because I seriously doubt that the Repubs will bring a candidate that favors small government. We'll see what happens after november and how the lay of the lands falls.

Kerry changed what?
Why would Kerry stop you from continuing to vote Libertarian as you have since Reagan?

Are you saying you voted for Bush instead of your Libertarian candidate because of Kerry?
That doesn't make much sense.

I voted for Bush to vote against Kerry. I had strongly considered voting for Bush the first time (I was a Keyester in the primaries) because I despise Algore at least as much as Kerry, but got sent out of the state just before the election so I didn't have to make that decision. Although I like a lot about the Libertarian agenda, I voted that way as a means of voting against both major party candidates, not because I particularly wanted President Harry Browne; he was merely the lesser evil. After I voted for Reagan twice as a Reagan Democrat, I've always voted for the lesser evil. With Kerry I decided not helping to defeat him would have been a greater evil.

Luckily I just missed being old enough to vote for Carter, the admirable southern governor and nuclear engineer (even if he can't say "nuclear") against that evil Nixon-pardoning Ford, so at least I don't have THAT on my conscience.

Voting for RP is like a mouse giving the finger to a pouncing cat. It won't change the outcome..but at least you let your voice be heard.

Can Paul attract the Tea baggers? They could use an unifying person to help focus their passion. But would FOX News, Mr Limbaugh, etc allow that to happen?

In case you don't recognize my name I was once Perry404 on these forums. I don't spend much time in the PR section these days.
I have shed all but my love for the honesty and truth that is Ron Paul.
I know there are many free thinkers awaiting the run by Alan Grayson, Rand Paul and others but know this, the only man that stands a chance against the majority is Ron Paul.
So I must ask...how many of you, after all that we have been through, are ready and willing to vote for Ron Paul?
In my passion to keep things interesting I must disclose something else.
A vision for the future of America, The country that God loved.
Yeah our breadbaskets have been full. Gods love however extends not only to the Jews and not only to the Americans but to the world.
Therefor he will shed his grace upon the world. What does this mean for the number crunching American? In small words It is global economy.
Inflation is good for the Chinese and the Indian. Prices in America will rise until the Chinese worker is paid the same price that the American slaves for. Have you seen that Chinese market? Within seven years you will be plucking feathers from your chickens at safeway in order to save your families money. Your insurance will be 24% of your families income. Do not curse into the air... because of this the Chinese man will be able to feed his family. Instead thank God almighty for your blessings.
Thank God almighty that your children are fed and thank God almighty that you may cuddle with them beneath a roof.

Once all is said and done they will finally understand that the the real question was...

Where will the money come from?

Weren't you the one screaming hyperinflation / Wiemar republic / great depression 2 years ago?

There's a reason why Austrian economics is ignored by policy makers, academics and and the professional economic community in general...

Doubt it, tea baggers are disenfranchised neoconservative, not libertarians. Note that the focus on fiscal responsibility only happened once Obama got into the office, not when Bush was spending like a drunk sailor.

True.

Plus, the Republican party leadership is doing everything they can to prevent Paul from being re-elected to his congressional seat, and his son and Schiff from getting Senate seats. The leadership doesn't even want them in Congress.

Nice to see people wanting a Republican back into office; however, RP is not electable as POTUS. Wouldnt have a chance in hell.

Why am I not surprised.

Some of Paul's Ideas are appealing and I agree with him 90+% on issues, but his views on monetary policy will bring us back to the stone age. He's also too old.

I'm not sure I'd vote for him this time around. I was really ticked he didn't at least run for the libertarian ticket, and we got stuck with Bob Barr.

Although his ideas aren't for all, he's the only politician I've witnessed who can call a spade a spade and not pander to a higher philosophy than his own.

Id vote for him again. He is the only honest politican we have in my eyes. I know he cant win but i refuse to vote for the twins R & D just so i can feel im on some kind of winning side. How pathetic is that

I'm all for a Ron Paul candidacy. With a bit better funding than he had last time, he could be the Ralph Nader of the Republicans. Go Ron Paul!

He will be 78 by Nov 2012, 78 is pushing the envelope.
I like a lot of what he stands for/believes in but he also has espouses views that make me shudder. Would I vote for him again? No, afraid not.
