I don't think there really is a "most awesome band ever". They are all overrated. Especially the common LZ, Beatles, blah blah blah. I'd have to pick GnR from the ones listed.
 
Oh, and I'm sorry, but MOGWAI is the best, band ever, period. I'm sorry. It's just the way it is. NOBODY beats out some good ol Mogwai, NOBODY!
