Just switched over to an mx700 and i'm loving it so far. Keeping the old logitech balled mouse for just in case.
I still prefer serial mice because they use a legacy IRQ. With PCI IRQ's so scarce, why take up IRQ12 for a stupid mouse? I know things can share IRQs now-a-days, but a lot of times they don't share well. Why share when you don't have to. I still haven't figured out the reason for migrating the mouse to a PS/2 port that uses a PCI IRQ.Also, I have a few generic balled corded serial mice just to use for installing or troubleshooting rigs that come in here for installs.
