Satan/ lucifer was not trying to take over. He was banished along with others because he did not wish to be subserviant (sp?) to God's greatest creation, Man. He was banished after he and other angels tried to (and did) corrupt man.

My Stepmother claimed that I was Satan's spawn. So until I was 13 I thought Satan was a fish 😉
