Who is in the wrong here? Professor says I haven't handed in two assignments.

Okay fucking annoying situation here.

I was sick for two weeks this semester in the beginning of February, I missed two classes and assignments were due. I emailed them to my professor because I wanted her to know that I have completed them on time, each time I would submit a hard copy and slip it under her door as per her request.

I am sure I got 100% on each of them.

Today I get my homework mark back, she has no record of recording my marks for two of them.

She is asking me to produce them, mind you these are chapters where we have already been examined on and are two months old, I've moved twice since then, and I can't find them.

I have copies in my sent folder showing her that I have at least done the work, it would stand to reason that I then submitted them.

This is the same professor who also, after requesting my marks from her, I discovered she'd copied a few of my marks down wrong.

WTF I don't know how to explain to her that she's being silly, and I don't know how to discuss this situation with her.

ARGGGH.

Cliffs:

-Was sick
-Emailed electronic copies to professor on date assignments were due
-Also stuck them under her door
-Get homework mark back, 2 marks are missing.
-Two months have passed, I've moved twice, can't find the two single pieces of paper.
-WTF.

Take a common sense course next quarter/semester so you can learn to save a copy of your work on flash drive and computer.

I do, but she says I have to prove that they were submitted and marked.

No, I didn't think anything of it. I went to class, picked them up, assumed she recorded the marks and put the assignments somewhere.

Had I known she was so inept I would have stapled them to her forehead and made sure she recorded the marks.

Ok, here's how to do it. Log onto your email account with her there and show her the date you emailed it to her.

Once out of the house into my g/f's place, then once more into another apartment with her.

Hey douchenut,

It's accounting, I didn't type it out on the computer.

The issue is not me being able to produce the work, I have scanned copies of it.

The issue is she wants me to prove that I have a marked copy of it.

I told her that already, she's a moron.

I told her to look at 2/2/2009 to see the email.

Apparently she didn't get it. Log in to YOUR email address, and show her YOUR sent folder.

If you mean 'she didn't get it' as in, she never got the email.

She did, I got a response saying 'slip it under my door'.

So is the problem that she wants proof that they were submitted on paper? Is she saying that an email submission is not sufficient?

If email proof is sufficient, you can get the Dean involved, and the college's IT department probably can find the original email.

If she responded to the email, print out the conversation and show it to her. Highlight the dates and tell her to try to look for it in her inbox (she might have deleted it already). Other than that, it's a he said/she said and she has all the power here.

You don't put all assignments and tests in the same folder you use to take notes for the class? Did you skip 'How to go to college 101' because you already know how to take the short bus?

My professor does not accept ANYTHING work-related by email. Only misc. questions and comments.
All papers are submitted by USB drive, directly to his hand on the due date.
Homework is done and returned in-class.
