Who is getting Alice TODAY?

I never played the original. It looks interesting, but I will wait for a good Steam sale before picking it up. Reviews so far have been OK, but not great.

I played the original, but I never completed it, from what I can remember anyway, it's been so long. I saw a few videos of the new one, it seems... alright, not sure. I might buy it eventually, I really don't know enough about it as of now.

WHAT! it comes out today?

Physically, yes, supposedly. According to a thread about it on another forum it is possible to buy it today, but there is a release date check, it will supposedly be "unlocked" the 16th.

I loved the first but my backlog is humongous. I'm sure it'll be 10 dollars or so, used, by the time I get around to touching it.

amazon will have mine waiting for me when i get home today

humm according to azon it was here before i even woke up

I love the original but knowing what I do I think I should play a demo first.
No demo?
No sale. That simple.

Most demos these days are so short you hardly even get a feel for the game anyway. That's why I always wait for the Steam sale now unless it's something I'm super hyped about.

Reviews aren't too stellar for the most part but I'll probably pick up the game once the price drops. Critics say repetitive gameplay/combat are the main gripe but fans are saying if you liked the 1st you'll like the 2nd Alice game.

If it's not on Steam I will never play it.
it it was on Steam, i'd have to wait 😛
- my satellite ISP has a strict bandwidth cap of 17GB a month and DNF nearly took all of it. (There is an undocumented and unrestricted 24-48 hours a month that i am probably one of the few who even knows about it so i supplement my 17GB with an extra 20-40 GB, so i survive)

i will be getting a retail boxed copy tomorrow or by Thursday; it's in the mail. Alice is supposed to make good use of PhysX.

That means i need to finish DNF today to get a mini-review out on it by Thursday with an emphasis on 3D Vision and performance.

i'm back to the salt mines

Wow, nice. This game wasn't even on my radar. What a pleasant surprise.

The first one had AMAZING environments, thats what I loved most about it. Im hoping the 2nd one is more of the first in this regard.

the fact that its not on steam is good

What's wrong with it being on Steam? I could understand if you complained if the game was only on Steam, as that would be problematic for users like Apoppin, but it being on Steam as well just provides another option. I could literally remote into my desktop and have it download it right now.

Not ragging on you, but your statement is pretty common. "Critics" say it's a no buy, I'll wait for it to be $10. It's like games of yore were always perfect and now we shouldn't buy any of them because some reviewer with not enough advertising dollars in their pocket said so.

Granted I'll be the first to say I'm bored off my rocker playing repeat, rewash games that haven't moved forward in 10 years, but surely there's got to be something good to play!

So ive put 2 hours into it, games says im at 5% not sure if thats total completion or % of crap found. gameplay so far is great, feels like old alice. good mix of combat + platforming/puzzles game looks great as well

my only complaint is that it seems the frame rate is locked at 30. which im sure is a result of it also being on consoles, you don't notice it TBH unless you stare at the #

I didn't expect to ditch DNF halfway through and finish Red Faction Armageddon so quickly or I would have bought Alice to try out.
I still have my original Alice and tried to play it, but I didn't really have the time to get into it. I may try again.

If that can't be fixed, I won't be playing it. Hurray for a completely worthless garbage console game.

You PC gamers that bitch about EVERY game that comes out need to find a new hobby...

I've been watching my son play and the game looks really cool!

Good graphics, dark story, WARPED Alice and Wonderland!
