Just got into work. Wasn't a fun drive. Hopefully it clears up a bit by the time I leave. It's starting to turn into rain now.

Working from home. KY is in a state of emergency from the ice (about an inch followed by more snow) and many trees down, many with no power.

Some icy areas on the way in, 45 minutes instead of 25. Took 45 minutes to clear the driveway of some very heavy snow topped with a layer of ice. Lots of call-offs today.

srsly, I'm so crazy jealous of all the guys who get to work from home today.

the windows/unix/networking support guys can all just TS in from home while I've got to be here staring at the wall in case something breaks (well, not quite staring at the wall... upgrading firmware on a server right now and after that's done I have to install a second proc in another box)

Also in central ohio, the office here is closed and we're expected to work from home. Fine by me...

Also was supposed to have a dentist appointment this afternoon and they just called saying their office is closed and they would reschedule for later on.

Yesterday we had 5 inches of snow follwed by sleet. Skipped yesterday to go sledding with the kids.
Today we have ice followed by a few inches of snow. My wife had to work today (hospital) so I decided to come in as well since I work down the street. All of the secretatries are out but a few other attorneys have made it in.
I don't work in a NOC and I didn't know what that was either.

My commute today was actually faster because noone was on the roads. However I did have to spend 15 mins cleaning off my car
