Well, I am near sighted also. Cannot see far away. So if your near sighted? How do you have very good eyes?

I wear glasses now, but I made it into my late 40's before I needed them.

Before THAT I had GREAT eyes!

why do you insist on calling nearsightedness "bad eyes"? . . . they are simply nearsighted and especially suited to doing things very close up. ;)

no eye diseases and detail and color is excellent!

Since my eyes can be "corrected" easily to 20/20 by basic lenses, they are good eyes indeed

:D

anyway, this last week, my contact prescription changed from -6.5 to -5.5 over the course of 2 years
:Q
it was slowly the 'other way' for all my life

Didn't read a single reply before posting. My answer:

This is a geek forum. We ALL wear corrective lenses. I have for 33 years. Past...11 years have been contacts. I'm near-sighted; anything past arms-length is one big blur. :(

my eyes are getting worse with every year. I have glasses, but they're at home. I don't much like wearing them. Just too uncomfortable.

I wear glasses - antireflex and with different characteristics on each lens (a bit of spherical and a bit of cylindrical), like 0.75 spherical and -0.5 cylindrical (and different for the other eye)
EDIT: but only in front of the computer or (rarely) when driving at night

I have terrible vision!

I wear both contacts and glasses, and hope to one day get Laser Eye Surgery. I'm going to avoid doing so until the doctors we know all decide to get it done themselves, though. If they won't take the risk yet then I won't either!
