If Trump wins it should be quite interesting to see the battle between the church and Trump's dictatorship wrt who has control over the other. For now, both the church and Trump are allied against their common enemy, the heathen godless socialists. It's what comes afterward where once Trump occupies the White House again, with his being a notoriously godless and morally bankrupt criminal, he's going to look at the church as a threat to his rule.
I don't know how Putin's relationship with the dominant church in Russia is, although I can see how the Russian church is obediently silent about the savagery and crimes against humanity Putin has unleashed in Ukraine.
It would seem our Christian church would also bow to Trump's revenge campaign and his effort to seize control of our military establishment and our intelligence agencies of which would also pose a significant threat to his monarchy. I mean, just look at how the church has been absolutely silent over Trump's criminality and his imbecilic attempts at "reaching out to those suckers and losers" of whom believes every falsity and fairy tale that comes out of his mouth, many of whom are self-described religious fundamentalists. There's going to be a fight over those pawns.
To me it's inevitable that Trump and the church will turn on each other sooner or later should Trump win in November.
