In other words it's consistent with his lack of character. The evidence overwhelmingly indicates that's what Trump said and it's not like it's out of character for him either.

As previously stated the family was not in the room so their opinion on what was said is not relevantAbout that Atlantic piece—the murdered servicemember’s sister apparently posted on X that the reporter never contacted them directly and relied on a family attorney as a source—she then went on to say Trump *did* help their family cover expenses [perhaps not personally but by helping them get “line of duty” benefits] and that she rejects the Atlantic’s reporting and that she personally voted for Trump.
I don’t think the Atlantic is some sleazy tabloid rag—but the problem with sourcing any story from former members of the Trump Administration is that NONE of them are trustworthy—they are all liars who were in service of the Chief Liar at some point. So whether they are Trump cheerleaders like Alex Pfeiffer, Mark Meadows & Kash Patel, or whether they are disgruntled former cabinet members/aides with an axe to grind against Trump—while one camp might be relatively more honest, I still wouldn’t absolutely trust them as sources.
Trump was rude to a newly widowed wife of a fallen soldier. She said Trump did t bother to remember his name and made her feel worse. Conversation witnessed by her Congressperson. In other words it's consistent with his lack of character.
What I see is a person so needy for attention and praise that he feels tremendous envy for the fact that others are honored for their willingness to potentially die for their country whereas he had a doubtless phony case bone spurs and that envy drives him to put them down because they have what he can never have. He is just unimaginably pathetic.Trump was rude to a newly widowed wife of a fallen soldier. She said Trump did t bother to remember his name and made her feel worse. Conversation witnessed by her Congressperson.
All this fits in his despicable character.
Except the court of public opinion. No such standard is required there. It's not 'he said/she said' though. In any court her testimony on what was said would be thrown out as it is hearsay. Kelly's evidence would be admitted as it is eyewitness testimony AND it is supported by contemporaneous documents.
If people are reporting he said/she said they are committing journalistic malpractice as one account is based in evidence and the other is not.
Remember when @mindless1 and all the other Trump lemming here told us we had TDS? There is a Republican who tried to create legislation certifying TDS as an official alffliction. As most of us knew the right are the ones with the real afflictionTDS, find a hobby.
He already looks like crap all the time. The more time goes by, the more obvious Trump's problem with his senility will become along with whatever factors are progressively pushing it along. I can just imagine what his appearance and behavior will look and sound like even a year from now. I'm certain some folks close to Trump are already looking for ways to prevent Trump from being hit with the 25th somewhere in the near future.
While I agree it really seems like his decline has accelerated. He doesn't seem to have a grasp on much that's going on, they deleted almost all of his statements from the website because they're incoherent, etc. Even for Trump he looks like shit.He already looks like crap all the time.
If all that's true I don't see how he can make it through the rest of his term. While I agree it really seems like his decline has accelerated.
