Math And physics teacher & part time farmer. Love both.
do you need a phd to teach physics and calc in highschool? I heard this from someone during a grad school visit and could not believe what I was hearing.

Don't care for my job. Sharepoint guy (IT).
When Peyton signs with the Vikings you can get a job where I work. 🙂
Unless you are working a job without the need of money, I don't trust anyone who "loves" their job. I'll give a pass to charity-like positions, but the rest of you are freaks 🙂
Perhaps not having the ability to be reflective and realize that what you have actually IS good or great can lead to being to cynical to realize it's a self imposed cause for one to feel they cannot love their job?
huh?
You can fully realize that you have a good job and you are lucky to have it without being deluded into thinking it's enjoyable. Unless you can't think of something you rather do than work at your job, I don't think you can say "I love it."
So if I'd rather be banging a pair of supermodels then I don't love my job?
lol
I really do love my job. I'm making double what I did 2 years ago and am treated 500% better. Because of my job I'm able to provide for my family all on my own which enables my wife to go to college full time so she can pursue a career in medicine -- something she's always wanted to do.
Last Thursday I had to rack and stack a SAN for a client. We agreed to start at 9am. I got out of bed at 7:30am and was there at 9. We worked until 3pm and I went home. That was my work day.
The following Friday I had no work to do for any clients so I went grocery shopping with my wife and kids, we ate out for lunch, then came home. That was my "work" day.
You're doing something you don't find horrible. Not everyone can say that, but to say you love it is ridiculous. You love some of the benefits and what they let you do, but that's different. Or you love it relative to other jobs. Do you love racking and stacking SANs, whatever the hell that means? I'd imagine it would be pretty weird if you did.
