Gotta admit it was a little odd, but he's a hell of a proctologist.

I don't hate homosexuals. I have for love all peoples, though it's hard at times. It's the homosexuality, the sin, that I hate.

This is what I beleive.

I have never met a mean homosexual. They all seem pretty nice to me. I don't see why anyone would dislike them.

I used to be a property manager. I had to escort two gay men off the property once because they were loitering and several tenants had complained. A week later I was arrested for assault bacause they accused me of roughing them up when I led them out to the sidewalk. They had formally complained to a police detective who was gay.

The charges were later dismissed when my boss's attorney raised hell, but I still had to spend a night in jail.

I don't think I'm homophobic, but I am very wary of individuals that use their lifestyle or race as an excuse for illegal behavior.

Anybody who answered "Hell no", "pink shirt, you look gay", or "anybody who doesn't like cars is gay" in the "Are you a metrosexual?" thread should answer yes to this question.

It seems to me that most people here are scared to death to be labeled gay. They'd never wear a pink shirt in fear that they'd be called gay. They'd never get a manicure in fear they'd be called gay.

no, I don't wear a pink shirt because it IS GAY. There is no fear of being labeled gay. It just IS GAY.

Now go out and find a woman you pansie.
Definite homophobe.

Oh really? You don't know me. If you think wearing a pink shirt is OK then I have a few shrinks you can see to sort out your problems.

I have gay guys hit on me all the time and simply tell them "no way in hell but we can be friends and hang out"

not the definition of homophobe, but denying your manhood doesn mean you have issues.

Uhh... there is nothing wrong with wearing a pink shirt dude...

There is a difference in being homophobic and labeled as gay.

And also a huge difference between being scared of gays, and severly disliking the act of homosexuality.

Ding ding! I knew a gay kid like that... Agh I couldn't stand him! He would not do his homework in school and use the fact that he was gay for the reason the teacher wouldn't give him an A. (She still passed him even though he did nothing but whine and complain all day!)

Used to hate them, till I lived in midtown Atlanta for awhile (huge gay community). They're just people. I was a whole lot more worried about the rednecks and gangs of drunk frat boys who went around there beating up anyone they thought looked gay.

I had this one friend who just recently came out of the closet at age 30, we went to college together and everyone thought he was a recluse, either that or just anti social and shy...he used to go out with us from time to time to the local bars (he was very specific about which bars he would and would not go to, only one sports bar and only early at night)...

well after he came out things drastically changed with him, every topic discussed revolved around his "gayness", you could never have a "normal" conversation with him as he didn't want to talk about anything else, I guess if I was holding something in for a long time then I would want to be open with it too..but for everyone else the novelty wore off after the first thousand stories and with him controlling every conversation....

He began to try and pressure myself and our circle of friends into going to the local gay bars with him, he would say that we forced him to go to straight bars in college and that we owed him which was the furthest thing from the case.

He would often make comments to the effect of how he just couldn't understand why we would be attracted to women and that really being gay was the best option...

There were other things that he did, but those were the ones that stuck out in my mind the most, needless to say I no longer talk with him...I have plenty of lesbian friends and have no problems with them, I also know or have known a few other gay guys and had no issue with them as they seemed more secure with themselves...personally I would not be happy if I were labeled as "gay" don't know why just wouldn't be comfortable with it...

I think the point of having a male friend is that you can hang out together and have zero sexual tension. If I had a gay friend there would always be this thing in my head that tells me that he may be attracted to me. That would just fvck things up.

I'd say your a homophobe. Not every gay male is attracted to every male. I guess you've never had any good female friends.

It's difficult. Most such relationships have some sexual tension if both parties are heterosexual and the girl is hot. At least from the guy's end :) In a guy-guy relationship with a gay guy there is a good chance that he's thinking about you in that manner, but it will bother him, not you, so if it doesn't become an outware issue, it shouldn't be a huge deal. I have no gay friends, because I know no gay people!

You already lynched them all over there in Alabama.

If you're a homophobe you're probably a closet case yourself, or so says the statistics.

Doesn't that mean that at least half the US is gay then? ;)

I guess so!

Well what I don't understand if this isn't true then why do a lot of people use this against homophobes? Every single argument I've seen online about homosexuality has had that "statistic" brought up from the homosexual side.

Skoorb, elaborate my psychologist friend.

Let me clear this right up.... Two gay guys are evil and gross. HOWEVER, two lesbian hot chicks are AWESOME! :) That being said, there is no way I could be homophobic seeing that I love HOT lesbian chicks. :)

As the Lord said, "let no man lie with another man. However, HOT lesbian sex is encouraged and will be guaranteed a place in my bed in heaven." Let us pray....

Really I think it's a semi-valid argument intended to belittle homophobes. If you're a closet homosexual and you hate that fact, and you're trying your damndest to be gay, then the natural tendency I think is to shun all things gay. So that is why it's a semi-valid argument, as in cases like that. But the fact is a lot of people are homophobic and I'd argue it's not often based in a tendency towards homosexuality, since so damn many people are homophobic. In mosts cases it's just upbringing, or simple intolerance or anything along those lines. That's my armchair psychology for ya ;)
