There's something flawed with the poll too.
"Yes, good jeans cost money" isn't correct is it?
Are the $200 jeans "Better" or just more fashionable?
also "No, I know how to save money"
That's not quite right either. I don't buy $200 jeans but it has nothing to do with "saving money"

holy crap, 175 posts, that was fast.

There should competitions to see whose thread can most quickly attract the most attention and replies.

Saying an ATOT poll is flawed is like saying ATOT likes polls.

what does a pair of 200 dollar jeans do for you exactly? They are still just jeans.

some people think girls will want to do them if they buy expensive jeans. While that may be true, the kind of girls that want to do someone based on their $200 jeans are not the kind of girls I would want to do...

these people are fucking insane. i paid $50 once for a pair of "nice" AE jeans way back when and they sucked. they lasted half the time my ON ones did and honestly look about the same. Since then i've always bought ON jeans ($20-30) and they last forever, are hella comfortable, and look nice too 😛

what the hell do $200 jeans have in them? do they turn you shit into gold when you sploog after getting the bill for the fucking things?

No way in hell. I had trouble paying $60 for a nice pair that I stopped wearing long ago (my ass was too big).

I can see the ladies buying jeans that expensive. How it factors into the classic trashy look men go for in jeans, I don't know.

All this talk about girlfriends and jeans is pretty dumb. And I'm not sure why we're stuck on just jeans. This seems to be a small part of a larger discussion about luxury goods.

A quality pair of men's dress shoes cost $150-300+, though you can of course get a pair for $60.

A quality men's suit will cost at least several hundred dollars into the thousands, though you can of course get a suit for $99.

A high quality bottle of wine can be very expensive, but you can of course get a bottle for $10.

If you think one cannot tell the difference between common and luxury goods, you are wrong.

If you think that luxury goods aren't generally of higher quality, you are wrong.

If you cannot tell the difference, maybe educate yourself instead of whining about those who can.

And if you don't care about any luxury goods, enjoy what you have and don't begrudge others who can and do enjoy spending their money on goods they deem worthy.

I don't think anyone is naive enough to think that jeans will get you laid. But dressing nice and stylish certainly helps in most cases and definitely doesn't hurt.

agreed. but i do have a friend who has some expensive pants (~150) from overseas and the quality is no different than my ON jeans. the only difference is it has some designs (which i think is gay) on it. i agree with the above poster about some luxury goods, but jeans are pretty basic. the denim quality can range, but my cheap ON jeans survived a motorcycle wreck without being torn up (and saved my hide). i suppose, to me, the most important factor in quality is hardware. i bought some cheap ass jeans at this place in TX once and they fucking caps on the metal popped off. so, as far as i'm concerned, decent denim, good stitching, and good hardware, which is all cheap and easy to do, is what makes good jeans. they aren't that complex. i think these $200 jeans are all for a brand label. now, suits, shoes, etc. are completely different. they can be made of a myriad of different materials.

honestly i could care less if people but that shit, i mean, it is their money. just, i don't see myself, even if i were a millionaire buying that shit. now, a nice $1000 suite, thats a different story.

so explain Guidos to me then... same as $200 jean wearers as far as i'm concerned

I just bought a pair of Lucky Jeans for $35 at Costco, the MSRP is $120. Why do people pay so much for jeans? 😕 Who's really going to look at your jeans that much?

John Varvatos - another fashion designer with his own line of clothing and fragrances. Surely the world needs more of those.

Coming soon to all designers stores near you- MmmSkyscraper jeans, only $1337. Also available, Eau d'Skyscraper, the essence of Mmm, only $99.
US dollars? Well sure, you're in Britain, YOU can afford that real easily now. 😉

And.....don't take it personally, but.....no, nevermind, I probably just shouldn't even ask about the origins of the "essence of Mmm."

Sure... if you're a redneck or from texas.
Or if you're George Lucas. 😉
