I have three "jobs" - teaching, my farm, and working at the pizza shop.
Teaching is my career type job; I love it, else I wouldn't be doing it.
My farm is a hobby type of job; I love it, else I wouldn't be doing it.
The pizza shop is more or less an occasional hobby as well; something to do if I'm bored. I'm working there tonight. I expect to be reminded by 5:30 how many idiots there are in society.

I've never really enjoyed a job, because it's a job. Unless it's something I'd be doing if I wasn't getting paid, there's no way I can like it since I'm there under duress. Even if I would do it for no pay the odds are good I'm still doing it for a reason other than enjoyment (responsibility, duty, greater good, etc). Other than pornography/prostitution it's difficult to imagine a 'job' I could ever fully enjoy.

That being said, there are some jobs I haven't disliked as much as others, or some aspects of some jobs that I enjoyed despite the overall feelings about it.

Can't say I'd do it full time if I was rich, but I really like my job. I tend to move on though always once the job becomes teh suck anyway.

Generally speaking, yes.

If I'm starting to hate it, I just change it.

But mostly what I hate is the things around the job - the admin, the legislative requirements, dealing with dumbasses, etc - which are inevitable.

I enjoy my job, although there are always days where I'm working on a project that doesn't interest me too greatly.

The great thing is the mental challenges: you always have to think around the issues and "see" ways forward. Consulting FTW.

Having three "jobs" is what keeps you liking all of them. The changing of hats keeps things fresher.

I don't LOVE it, but it's far better than many other friends with similar backgrounds. There's always low points, and now that I've been here long enough to prove useful I'm no longer bored and now getting shit piled on me.
